I don't have any secrets I need kept anymore...I feel like a free man," he wrote.
"Channel Orange" had references to his bisexuality on the songs "Bad Religion", "Pink Matter", and "Forrest Gump". The album was released July 17, 2012 in the U.S. and debuted at number 2 on the US Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales of 131,000 copies.
Following the album, Ocean took a very long break from music. Though he revealed in early 2013 that he had started working on his second album, the project didn't come out until August 2016. Earlier that month, he dropped a visual album called "Endless" before following it up with his second studio installment, "Blonde", which received praises from critics.
The project, featuring guest vocals from the likes of Beyonce Knowles, Kendrick Lamar and Andre 3000 a.k.a. Andre Benjamin among others, made its debut on Billboard 200 at No. 1 with 276,000 equivalent units in its first week. About 232,000 of which were traditional album sales.
