Javaughn Young White blasts a news outlet for leaking details of his divorce papers, which he says did not have his authorization and will be amended, denying that he said Kehlani is in a sex cult.

AceShowbiz - Kehlani's former partner has backtracked on his allegations that the singer is in a sex cult. Blasting a news outlet for leaking details of his alleged divorce papers, Javaughn Young White now demands an apology from the site.

"I never said that I think Santeria is a sex cult. Nor did I say that my daughter is in a sex cult," Javaughn said in a statement issued on Tuesday, August 6. "That's factually incorrect and I think it's disgusting that TMZ would exploit a child's image like that. Further, I have not been made aware of any court ordered mediation as of writing this per the account of TMZ. Personally, I would love for TMZ to justify to me, the father, how they came up with this narrative."

"The TMZ article sensationalized aspects of what was said while simultaneously breaching my confidentiality," he added, noting that his divorce filing wasn't completed and will be amended. "Further, the filing of my case was incomplete and did not have my authorization by error of counsel. I am no longer represented by the aforementioned counsel. There will be an amended filing soon which will illustrate the full range of my concern."

He continued, "I do not need to paint an unfair image of my co-parent for my justifiable feelings to be respected by the court of law. The unfortunate trauma only increases the obstacles in ensuring my child's well-being," before concluding, "For now, I am hoping to clear the discrepancies made by TMZ. I hope to see a formal retraction and apology."

Javaughn denied accusing Kehlani of being a sex cult member after she responded to the "hurtful" claims made about her. "What has been published in the media over the past 24 hours is incredibly hurtful, inaccurate, inappropriate, and simply untrue. I wanted to take the time to ensure that I responded to these accusations from a calm and considered space rather than a reactive one," she wrote in her own statement issued earlier on Tuesday.

"I strongly deny any claims that I have put my child in harm's way, or left my child alone with anyone deemed dangerous or unsafe," the "Butterfly" singer stressed. "I also do not align with any of the allegations made against my former religious community that have been stated in the media."

She further claimed, "I have always taken great care to ensure that my child remains protected and safe at all times. My child and my commitment to motherhood have always been my sole driving force in this life and will always remain so. This is who I am and what I have always been focused on."

"This is a legal, private, familial matter that will be handled accordingly, and I will now be taking space for my own personal well-being and, most importantly, for the well-being of my child," the 29-year-old stated, before extending her request for privacy while dealing with the matter. "Thank you for your support and for respecting our privacy. I will not be commenting further and I will let the legal due process take place."

Previously, multiple outlets reported that Javaughn has filed a paternity petition to gain full custody of his and Kehlani's daughter. In court docs obtained by the outlets, he allegedly said that he believes Kehlani has been mixed up with a cult for the past few years, which is influencing how she raises their child.

Javaughn alleges the cult leader has a slew of sexual assault accusations and fears their daughter could be at risk of abuse without court intervention. He also claims that due to Kehlani's alleged association with the cult, he's prevented from seeing their child.

Javaughn also posted a series of tweets, claiming that Kehlani tried to silence him and insinuating that he knows a lot of her secrets. "Yeah my boy there's a lot going on behind the scenes n***as will prolly never really understand. But I do have proof she tried to pay Santeria work on me to 'silence me' but dud refused. So n***a should really question what I actually seen/know and really stop provoking me," he warned.

Later, one of Kehlani's friends came to her defense via X, formerly known as Twitter. The friend cryptically wrote about Javaughn, "I seen n***as pull s**t out they a** when they cornered, n that's what scare me about yall, instead of working on yourself u jus desperately fishin for something or someone to make a villain it's tired, get help."

"yall get on here n make think pieces about my friend all day but please don't ever come for the parenting n don't believe S**T you read on the internet, let's very f**king real for a second," they continued without naming names. "n***as really love to villainize someone when s**t don't go they way I see."
