In the latest sneak-peek for the Greta Gerwig-directed movie, Margot Robbie's titular character goes to real world to find 'the truth' as she faces an existential crisis.

AceShowbiz - Warner Bros. Pictures has unleashed a new trailer for "Barbie", which finally sheds light on the plotline. In the video, Margot Robbie's titular character seems to live a perfect life in Barbie Land, until she has "a full-on existential crisis."

Barbie then meets Kate McKinnon's Weird Barbie, who advises her to go to the real world. "You can go back to your regular life, or you can know the truth about the universe. The choice is now yours," Weird Barbie tells Barbie. "The first one. The high heel," Barbie chooses, referring to the first option, which is going back to her regular life. But Weird Barbie tells her, "You have to want to know. Okay?"

Barbie is next seen driving her pink convertible and leaving Barbie Land when she's surprised to find out that Ryan Gosling's Ken has been hiding in the car and quietly tagging along. Upon arriving in the real world, the two soon land in trouble.

They are seen rollerskating with all eyes on them, before someone smacks Barbie's behind. Barbie punches the man in the face, prompting her and Ken to land in jail. The two also find themselves being chased around as Will Ferrell's character, the CEO of Mattel, demands that Barbie and Ken are captured to keep the "catastrophic" news of Barbie in the real world a secret.

The nearly three-minute trailer is set to a new single titled "Dance the Night" by Dua Lipa. The soundtrack will also include songs by Ava Max, Charli XCX, Dominic Fike, FIFTY FIFTY, Gayle, HAIM, Ice Spice, Kali, Karol G, Khalid, Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, PinkPantheress, Ryan Gosling, Tame Impala and The Kid LAROI.

The movie is directed by Greta Gerwig with Issa Rae, Simu Liu, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, John Cena, America Ferrera and many others among the cast. It will be released in U.S. theaters on July 21.
