AceShowbiz - Even Moneybagg Yo had to bow down to Taylor Swift. The Memphis native has voluntarily pushed back the release date of his new album to avoid clashing with the pop superstar's deluxe edition of her hit album "Midnights".
Moneybagg's "Hard to Love: Heartless Edition" was initially set to arrive on midnight Friday, May 26. But Taylor just announced a few days ago after she would release the deluxe edition of her 2022 album with additional tracks, including "Karma" remix featuring Ice Spice, on the same date.
Learning the news about Taylor's album re-release, Moneybagg announced on Thursday that he postponed the release of his album. His new project will be arriving a week later, on June 2.
"I just got the news my little baby Taylor dropping tonight. I ain't gonna lie, y'all know how I feel about Taylor, man," Moneybagg said in a video that saw him sitting in his red sports car while Taylor's song "Lover" was blasting. "So I think I'm gonna push 'Hard To Love' back just a few days. Y'all be patient with me. Let Taylor have this s**t."
He then started singing along again and speeding off out of the view. The 31-year-old added in the caption, "Ima let my baby @taylorswift13 drop tonight. New date 'Hard to Love' June 2nd Friday!"
To tide fans over the wait for his album, Moneybagg has released the music video for his new song "Ocean Spray". Upon dropping the song and its trippy visuals, he got candid on Twitter as saying, "I use to think being sober would f**k wit my creative process, I see dats just a mind thing. Cuz I been more active skin glowing and I been dropping nun but pressure."
Moneybagg has also reacted to Ari Fletcher who recently promised to join OnlyFans if his new album reaches No. 1 on music charts. Supporting his on-and-off girlfriend's idea, he said, "Y'all better run it up. Y'all better run it on up, man. You wanna see this OnlyFans, man? Run it up..." He went on gushing, "She already locked and loaded man. I believe it. I know what's up man."
