AceShowbiz - The 2023 CMT Awards finally took place at Austin's Moody Center on Monday, April 2. Before awards are given out to Nashville's biggest names later that night, country music stars hit the red carpet as they brought their highest fashion at the star-studded event, which is hosted by Kane Brown and Kelsea Ballerini.
Among those who turned heads that evening was Carrie Underwood. The "Hate My Heart" hitmaker stepped out in an all-silver outfit from Dolce & Gabbana which was entirely covered in glittering rhinestones. The ensemble included a pair of sparkling shorts, allowing her to flaunt her toned legs. She completed the look with a dazzling clutch and a pair of metalic heels.
Meanwhile, Shania Twain looked stunning in a fiery dress that featured black stripes and a few intricate and bold cutouts alongside her hips. The 57-year-old, who will be awarded the CMT Equal Play Award at the event, paired the ensemble, which also had a hip high slit, with a black platform shoes and diamond rings as well as bracelets.
As for Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, the couple showed off their undeniable chemistry by twinning while gracing the red carpet. For the occasion, the pair were suited up with Gwen rocking a pair of glittering gold Valentino Couture hot pants with a blazer and tie. Blake, meanwhile, channeled his country style in jeans and a sports jacket.
On the other hand, Kelsea took the annual award-giving event as the opportunity to make her red carpet debut with boyfriend Chase Stokes. The "Blindsided" singer slipped into a beautiful blue dress, while the "Outer Banks" star opted for a navy shirt with a white tee underneath that he paired with matching pants.
"Yellowstone" star Lainey Wilson was also among stars who arrived with a notable fashion. The star, who is nominated for four awards at the big event, sported a colorful jumpsuit with a plunging neckline and metallic studded belt.
Megan Thee Stallion dressed in a body-hugging blue dress that featured a sheer cutout on left hip. As for Kane Brown, he arrived in a black-and-white suit alongside his wife Katelyn Jae, who looked like a bride in a white sleeveless dress and white gloves.
This year's CMT Awards will feature Shania, Gwen and Carly Pearce among the performers. In addition to the highly-anticipated Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute, the event will see Alanis Morissette, Ingrid Andress, Madeline Edwards and Morgan Wade joining forces to celebrate the 10th anniversary of CMT "Next Women of Country".
