Luke, Cody and Lainey brought home three trophies each. Luke nabbed Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year for his third studio album "Growin' Up". Meanwhile, Cody took home Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year for his hit " 'Til You Can't". As for Lainey, she's crowned as Female Vocalist of the Year and won New Artist of the Year.

Trailing behind was Chris Stapleton, who scored win for Male Vocalist of the Year. During the special night, Jordan Davis was also honored with the Song of the Year award for his track "Buy Dirt". Other winners included Old Dominion as Vocal Group of the Year, Brothers Osborne as Vocal Duo of the Year and Jenee Fleenor as Musician of the Year.

Ahead of the awards show, the winners of the Music Video of the Year and Musical Event of the Year categories were revealed on "Good Morning America". Cody won the Music Video of the Year category while Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde received the award for Musical Event of the Year for "Never Wanted To Be That Girl".

In addition, this year's winner list saw some artists repeating their wins. Among those were Luke, Chris, Old Dominion, Brothers Osborne and Jenee. In the 55th Country Music Association Awards, Luke won Entertainer of the Year, Chris took home Male Vocalist of the Year, while Old Dominion, Brothers Osborne and Jenee nabbed the exact same awards.

The 56th CMA awards was co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning live from Nashville, Tennessee. The night was filled with great performances from Carrie Underwood, the Zac Brown Band, Chris, Morgan Wallen and Miranda Lambert. Viewers were entertained with spectacular collaborations as well. Kelsea Ballerini, Carly and Kelly Clarkson performed "You're Drunk, Go Home", while Thomas Rhett and Katy Perry will sing their duet "Where We Started".
