The 'Whiskey Glasses' crooner hits the red carpet and takes the stage to perform his latest single 'You Proof' one year after being banned from the awards show due to his racial slur scandal.

AceShowbiz - Morgan Wallen has made his return to CMA Awards one year after being banned due to his N-word controversy. He had his moment at the Wednesday, November 9 ceremony, hitting the red carpet and taking the stage as one of the musical performers.
Wallen was all smiles as he arrived solo at the event. Wearing a burgundy suit and a black T-shirt, he had his hair grown out longer than his signature mullet look.
Later during the live broadcast, the 29-year-old went up to the stage to perform his latest single "You Proof". Trading his suit for a black denim jacket on top of a white T-shirt, he wore a white cap on backwards.
People soon took to Twitter to gush over Wallen's performance. "Yaaaaaaaaassssss @MorganWallenWE NEED SOMETHING YOUUUUUU PROOOOOFFFFFF," country music radio station QX 104 tweeted. iHeart Country's official account also posted, "How many times will I watch @MorganWallen's #CMAawards performance?? The limit does not exist."
However, some people begged to differ. Responding to iHeart Country's tweet, one person left several puking face emojis. Another posted on the blue bird app, "Morgan Wallen has no stage presence. He's so boring to watch. crowd is DEAD." Agreeing, another critic commented, "that's what he gets for being racist."
The 56th Annual Country Music Association Awards took place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Luke Bryan returned as the host for the second time, with Peyton Manning as his co-host.
In addition to Wallen, the show featured performances from the likes of Bryan, Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs, Carly Pearce, Katy Perry who had a duet with Thomas Rhett, Kelsea Ballerini and many others.
