AceShowbiz - The 62nd Grammy Awards is currently underway at Staples Center in Los Angeles. As audience and viewers at home are waiting for winners to be announced during the Alicia Keys-hosted event, they are also treated to performance from some of the biggest names in the music industry. Among them are Ariana Grande and Camila Cabello.
Backed by an orchestra, the Nickelodeon alum stunned everyone with her angelic voice as she started off her performance with a rendition of "Imagine" before transitioning into "My Favorite Things". As she launched into a performance of "7 Rings", Ariana took off her black gown to reveal a lingerie look. She then moved into a pink bedroom set with her dancers and closed out her performance with a rendition of "Thank U, Next".
Prior to Ariana's performance, Camila Cabello hit the stage to deliver a performance of her "Romance" track "First Man". It was such an emotional performance since her father, for whom she wrote the song, was in the audience. Towards the end of her set, the former Fifth Harmony member stepped down the stairs and held her father's hand as she continued singing. Her dad, meanwhile, couldn't hold back his tears and started crying.
Other notable performances during the ceremony included Billie Eilish. For her first performance at the biggest event in the music industry, the "Bad Guy" singer treated fans to a touching rendition of her 2018 hit "When the Party's Over". She was joined by her brother Finneas, who was announced as the winner of Producer of the Year (Non-Classical).
Meanwhile, Usher used his set at the 2020 Grammys to pay tribute to late legend Prince. Accompanied by FKA twigs and Prince's former protege Sheila E., the R&B singer ran through some of Prince's recognizable hits that included "Little Red Corvette" and "When Doves Cry". Unsurprisingly enough, Usher also showed off his dancing skill during his performance.
The performance was done in anticipation of the Recording Academy's upcoming Prince tribute special. It is set to take place on January 28 and will be broadcast at a later date.
