Lea Michele hints that her character Hester may be one of the good guys in the sophomore season, though everyone is blaming her for the murders.

"Scream Queens" won't let you easily guess who the killer is in season 2. Despite the return of season 1's killer Hester Ulrich, Lea Michele who reprises the role in the upcoming installment hints that her character may be one of the good guys now.
"As the murders start to happen, everyone is obviously thinking that it's Hester again," the "Glee" alum tells TV Guide. "She's quite adamant that she is not the killer this season." Michele adds that Hester will even "try and help them figure out who the killer is."
Does that mean there's another killer this season or it's just a misdirection before Hester is revealed as the killer again? Find out the answer when the comedy-horror anthology series returns with the second season beginning Tuesday, September 20 at 9/8c on FOX.
Michele is joined by Jamie Lee Curtis (Cathy Munsch), Emma Roberts (Chanel Oberlin) Abigail Breslin (Libby Putney a.k.a. Chanel #5), Billie Lourd (Sadie Swenson a.k.a. Chanel #3), Keke Palmer (Zayday Williams) and Glen Powell (Chad Radwell) as the returning stars. John Stamos, Taylor Lautner, James Earl, Colton Haynes and Cecily Strong are added to the cast as new characters.
The new season is set in a hospital run by Munsch. The show has released cast photos of season 2 which can be seen below.
