Louis Tomlinson

Louis Tomlinson has earned a well-deserved success with his latest offering, "Faith in the Future". Upon its arrival on Friday, November 11, the album debuted at No. 1 in the U.K., making it his first in the country.

Stateside, the project is ranked first in the Billboard poll of favorite new music with 62 percent of the vote, leaving its rivals by the likes of Wizkid, Bruce Springsteen and Rihanna among others. In addition, the new record landed at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, marking Louis' highest rank on the list.

The standard edition of "Faith in the Future" consists of 14 tracks, while the deluxe edition adds seven more songs to the list. Before dropping the album, Louis unleashed three singles, "Bigger Than Me", "Out of My System" and "Silver Tongues", the latter of which entered the Top 20 of the Genius Top Songs chart.

Speaking of the album, the former One Direction member told Billboard, "I think this record, every song is about something slightly different But I think there is something, there''s the element of change that keeps coming back." He added, "There's definitely a lot of nostalgia in there, because I've been thinking about getting older and all that kind of thing. So I think there is a kind of invisible concept that ties it all together, if you know what I mean."

On what makes it different with his first solo album, "Walls", Louis explained, "I think that was a lot of me working out who I was coming out of the band. And it's not to say I wasn't true to myself in the band, but I was in that band and I was part of that band - it wasn''t just me." He then continued, "It took a second to me to work that development stage out, whereas I think I did have a clearer picture on this record."
