While being interviewed by Bryan's bible growing up - Ladies Home Journal - the topic of family comes up. Bryan notes that wanting children is something he's always been sure of, but isn't necessarily for everyone. His ex-boyfriend Monty for example is an eternal bachelor, while he and his partner David are completely on the same page. When the interviewer asks how many kids are in Bryan and David's plan, he suddenly realizes that's something that he and David have yet to discuss. Later at home Bryan brings it up and is thrilled to discover that they both want three children!

Not missing a beat, Bryan and David pay a visit to Gary at Expanding Families to discuss their three children family plan. At this news, Gary has an emotional meltdown, exclaiming that he's bound to be alone forever. He dedicated his life to putting together families because he wants one, but it looks like he's bound to die alone. Bryan suggests that they set up Gary with Bryan's ex, Monty. Last time they ran into him, he seemed to have ditched his bachelor ways and was all-talk about wanting to settle down. Gary says that if the guy's got a pulse, he's in.

Meanwhile, at school, Shania's having a hard time and is getting bullied by a group of girls. After Jane's suggestion of putting on a Nancy Reagan power suit and laying down the law doesn't work out, Rocky tells Shania that it's all about reading. No, not reading books, but reading the flaws. What Shania needs to do is find these girls' weaknesses and beat them down with sharp words and a domineering attitude.

The guys invite Monty and Gary over for dinner. Gary is understandably drooling over the drop-dead gorgeous Monty, but Monty is more enraptured with Goldie than anything else. The two share an immediate connection, and Monty wants to know anything and everything about her surrogacy experience. At the end of the night Monty tells the guys that he doesn't want to meet the right guy; he's ready to do this baby thing on his own. And he wants Goldie to be his surrogate.

Later, Bryan and David are incredulous about Monty poaching their surrogate. In their minds, Goldie belongs to them, and they were hoping to have her be the surrogate for their next two kids as well. They go to Monty's house to give him a piece of their mind, but he brings up an important point: have they even talked to Goldie about her plans for the future? They sit Goldie down and share their plans for the future, but Goldie explains that she's not sure more surrogacy is in her future. But she's got a plan of her own to sell children's clothes, and she plans to stick to it.

Later, the guys pay a visit to Monty to apologize, only to discover that Gary has practically moved in! After Monty caught Gary stalking him at the beach, they haven't been able to tear themselves away from each other. In fact, they're practicing raising a child with Gary's niece in the meantime while they plan to have a family of their own.

Rocky's "reading" technique works like a charm for Shania, as she quickly becomes the queen bee. But after commanding control of the preteen girls, she decides to use her power for good, not evil. She tells them that as queen she commands the girls to treat each other as equals and not talk down to others. The girls love Shania's quirky behavior, and they quickly become fast friends.
