FOUL PLAY FELLS HOCKEY COACH -- When a popular youth hockey coach is found beaten to death following a practice, Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Green (Jesse L. Martin) question the team members for witnesses and for suspects. One player, Keith Taylor (guest star Geoffrey Wigdor), who was to be benched for rough play during a game attended by college scouts, comes under scrutiny--though this father (guest star Harley Venton) may have felt he had more at stake than his son. As A.D.A.s Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) and Abbie Carmichael (Angie Harmon) learn more about the elder Taylor, they find that Keith inherited his "rough play" inclination, and argue that on and off the field of play, one must be held accountable for the physical manifestations of one's anger.
