Melinda works to discover the identity of a ghost haunting Claudia, a photography professor. Initially, she believes the ghost to be Kevin, Claudia's former student, who had died in a car accident. After further investigation, Melinda learns that Claudia had an affair with Kevin. His girlfriend, Sophie, discovered the affair and tried to drown herself. Kevin learned of Sophie's suicide attempt from a video she sent him moments before she supposedly drowned. This leads Melinda to believe that Sophie's spirit is seeking revenge on the woman who had stolen her man. However, Melinda then discovers that Sophie is still alive and that Kevin is the ghost haunting Claudia. After he saw Sophie's video, Kevin raced to the beach to try and save her and ended up in a horrible car accident. Not knowing that Sophie was alive, Kevin then tormented Claudia, who he blamed for Sophie's "death"because of their affair. Once Melinda is finally able to get Sophie, Claudia and Kevin's spirit together to sort out their love triangle, Kevin is able to cross over.
