When Erin's key witness, infamous photographer Vance Bradley, is nearly killed in a hit and run, she arranges for Danny to work his protection detail to safeguard him. Vance needs to stay alive to testify against Bill Greenfield, Vance's former drug connection and the doctor Erin is charging with illegally distributing prescription narcotics. Although Greenway is their lead suspect, Danny has suspicions about Vance's new wife Lizzy. After Danny receives a panicked call from Vance and learns the guard filling in for him has been drugged, he heads to his apartment to find that Vance has shot and killed a hit man Lizzy hired to murder him. Danny contemplates Vance's offer to be his private bodyguard as the increased salary would help with his and Linda's finances, but he turns it down believing that his place lies with the NYPD. Meanwhile, Jamie and Vinny bust a pot operation with a tip off from a woman who is later revealed to be a competing dealer who is selling medical marijuana in order to afford to keep her son in a special needs home. Frank raises concerns over Henry's questionable driving and memory problems.
