'Harry Potter' Star David Tennant Engaged to Georgia Moffett

The depicter of Barty Crouch, Jr. has reportedly proposed to the actress, who co-starred him on 'Doctor Who'.

Former "Doctor Who" star David Tennant is planning a wedding after proposing to his actress girlfriend Georgia Moffett, according to a U.K. report. The Scottish actor has been dating Moffett, who is the daughter of another former "Doctor Who", Peter Davison, since she appeared on the time-travelling TV show in 2008.

The pair is now planning to marry on New Year's Day 2012, reports Britain's The Sun. A source tells the publication, "They are besotted with each other and can't wait to tie the knot."

David Tennant previously dated Sophia Myles in 2006. As for his acting career, the 39 year old once took part in "Harry Potter" film franchise, appearing as Barty Crouch, Jr. in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire".

Good on David and Georgia. I've been reading so many things where people have a problem with the age difference. If they love each other, so what? David Tennant's my favourite actor and I'm happy for them. Good on you, David. Hope your marriage is everything you want it to be.

I think Tom is Correct, David only "gust stared" on Harry Potter never a serious roll. But best known for Doctor Who

Correcting your error: As for his acting career, he played the title character in one of Britain's most popular TV series, Doctor Who, for five years. During his time in the role, episodes of Doctor Who averaged 7.2 million viewers each in the UK.
