July 27, 2009 04:07:29Words were circulating that David Tennant is among the potential candidates for the role of Bilbo Baggins in "The Hobbit", but the star of BBC's sci-fi series "Doctor Who" has recently slammed down the rumor himself. Addressing the matter when chatting with MTV News, he threw back a question, "The Internet is a curious place, isn't it?"
"I think someone sits in their bedroom in Saskatchewan and comes up with an idea and they post it," the 38-year-old Scottish actor further explained. "And within minutes it's around the world and I'm getting phoned up by journalists and friends of mine saying, 'When are you off to shoot with Guillermo [del Toro]?' It's not something I know anything about. No one's talked with me."

Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, the world's only kids dominated awards ceremony, is approaching the UK public for the first time ever. And to mark its debut in the nation, the event organizers have recruited British pop rock band McFly to host the award show, slated to take place on October 20th at London's ExCeL arena.

Amid her hectic singing schedules, Kylie Minogue will take time to make TV appearance. The pop singer has been set to star in the forthcoming "Doctor Who" Christmas Special, it has been reported.
Being persuaded by her stylist pal Will Baker, who is good friends with "Doctor Who" scriptwriter Russell T Davis, Kylie has agreed to guest star in an upcoming episode of the BBC hit as a sexy cyber woman who tries to lure the doctor played by David Tennant.
