The 'Pray for Me' spitter and the 'Bartier Cardi' raptress bagged two awards each at the award-giving show.

AceShowbiz - The winners of the 2018 BET Awards have been announced. It was revealed at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 24 that Kendrick Lamar and Cardi B was the big winners, bagging two awards each.
Kendrick won Best Male Hip-Hop Artist Award after besting fellow nominees including Drake, Jay-Z and J. Cole. He additionally nabbed Album of the Year Award for his critically-acclaimed effort "DAMN." Cardi, meanwhile, took home Best Female Hip-Hop Artist Award, beating out the likes of Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma. She also won Coca-Cola Viewers' Choice Award for her hit song "Bodak Yelow".
Other musicians who grabbed an award at the Jamie Foxx-hosted show included Beyonce Knowles, Bruno Mars and Migos. The songstress won Best Female R&B/Pop Artist Award, while the "24K Magic" hitmaker took home Best Male R&B/Pop Artist Award. The hip-hop trio, on the other hand, won Best Group Award.
Not only honoring the biggest musicians in the industry, the award also honored sports, television and movies released between April 1, 2017 and March 31, 2018. "Black Panther" was announced as the winner of Best Movie Award, with lead actor Chadwick Boseman snatching the coveted Best Actor Award. Meanwhile, Tiffany Haddish was named the Best Actress.
In sports categories, Serena Williams was honored with Sportswoman of the Year Award while LeBron James took home Sportsman of the Year Award.
Also at the event, Chairman and CEO of BET, Debra Lee, was honored with Ultimate Icon Award for her contribution to the entertainment industry. Ava DuVernay also brought home Video Director of the Year Award, defeating Benny Boom, Director X, Dave Meyers and Chris Brown.
