The 'Modern Family' star is hurt by how Chrisoula 'Chrystal' Workman publicly attacks her over the way she dresses, saying that she will not 'let her mother control or influence her decisions.'

AceShowbiz - The relationship between Ariel Winter and her estranged mother Chrisoula "Chrystal" Workman seemingly is not getting better. Ariel is reportedly furious at her mother, who previously made public attacks regarding her racy photos on social media.

"Ariel is again upset by her mother's behavior. Ariel has moved on from her relationship with her mom and is hurt that her mom can't do the same," a source tells HollywoodLife.com. The source continues saying that the "Modern Family" star wishes she had a mother "who would respect her privacy, give her space to make her own decisions in life," instead of attacking her in public.

Without her mom attacking her, Ariel gets enough criticism already regarding the way she dresses. So, "the last thing she needs is for her mother to come after her too." The source shares, "Ariel does not want to dress like everyone else and wishes her mom would keep her name out of her mouth about it."

"She feels good about her body, her self image and will continue to wear whatever she wants," the source goes on saying. Unfazed by her mom's criticism, Ariel is determined not to "let her mother control or influence her decisions."

Previously, in an interview with In Touch Weekly, Chrystal weighed in on her daughter's racy style. "She needs to grow up. I would tell her to dress properly, be the beautiful person she is. I feel sad that she feels the need to expose herself when it's not necessary," she said. Chrystal, whom Ariel accused of sexualizing her when she was young, continued, "Ariel is smart, beautiful and talented. She is a legitimate actress. She does not need to do this. She is beautiful with her clothes on."
