The 'Make Me...' hitmaker is slammed for her risque costume during her performance with G-Eazy, while the 'Formation' songstress is blasted for her anti-police performance.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears and Beyonce Knowles are criticized for their performances at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. The "Make Me..." hitmaker is slammed for her risque costume during her performance with G-Eazy, while the "Formation" songstress is blasted for her anti-police performance.

Parents Television Council is accusing MTV VMAs of "sexualizing" women. "Viacom and MTV need to make a pivotal choice about the sexualization of women: either they must decide that it is good, or they must decide that it is bad," PTC President Tim Winter says in a statement, "Sadly, last night's program contained concerning levels of sexualization throughout the night."

"When you have the juxtaposition of the U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics team and their positive image of what's healthy and right, contrasted with the sexualizing content that was so pervasive on the rest of the program, MTV is sending starkly-conflicting messages about what is important. So MTV, which one is it?" he adds.

A PTC spokesperson cites Britney's outfit, noting that "many of the female costumes revealed part of or most of their buttocks."

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, meanwhile, slams Beyonce for her anti-police performance. He says, "I saved more black lives than any of those people you saw on stage by reducing crime, and particularly homicide, by 75 percent - of which maybe 4,000 or 5,000 were African-American young people, who are all alive today because of the policies I put in effect that weren't in effect for 35 years."

"If you're going to do that, then you also should symbolize why the police officers are in those neighborhoods, and what are you going to do about that? What are you doing about it?" he continues.

While both Britney and Beyonce nailed their VMAs performances on Sunday, August 28, there was reportedly an epic backstage feud between the two divas. Britney "was not happy at all" when she was forced to perform after Beyonce that night, according to a backstage source.

"Beyonce acted like she owned Madison Square Garden last night," the source tells Radar Online, "Britney got second choice in almost everything because of Beyonce. Beyonce got the master suite backstage, when Britney was originally told that she was getting it."

The source adds, "Britney's team was just treated like they were second class and it really pissed Britney off. When Britney signed up for this she was told she was going to be the headliner, and the fact that she had to go AFTER Bey really seemed to irritate her."

According to the source, Britney was not the only one who was getting the brunt of Beyonce's shade. "It was quite comical to see Kim Kardashian try to work the middle ground," the source says, "She was so all over Britney, and begging her to do the Snapchat video."
