Sylvester Stallone May Appear in 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' as This Character

The sequel, which is currently filming in Atlanta, will reportedly also feature appearance from the beloved Howard the Duck.

AceShowbiz - Earlier this month, rumors emerged that Sylvester Stallone had joined the cast of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" after he was spotted heading to the movie's set at Pinewood Studio with what looked like a script on his hand. His casting has yet to be officially confirmed, but a new report claims that he will indeed make appearance in the film and may portray a character we're already familiar with.

A source told On Location Vacations that Stallone was seen in a costume that "looks a lot like Judge Dredd." The veteran actor previously played the comic book character in the 1995 adaptation. However, Dredd isn't a Marvel Comic character, so fans are assuming that the 69-year-old will play a member of the Nova Corps whose costume does look similar to Dredd's.

In addition to reporting the Stallone-related news, OLV supported speculations that the "Guardians of the Galaxy" sequel would feature Howard the Duck. The same source said that a scene involving the beloved character was filmed last week.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is currently shooting in Atlanta and is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on May 5, 2017. Directed and written by James Gunn, the flick will bring back Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper. Pom Klementieff and Kurt Russell are among new cast members.
