The canceled show was scheduled to take place at Loyola University in Chicago on Friday, February 26, the same day her fans will rally outside Sony's New York City headquarters.

AceShowbiz - Kesha, formerly Ke$ha, has canceled a scheduled concert amid her legal battle with Dr. Luke. Days after a New York judge denied to release her from her contract with the producer, she decided to axe the show that's supposed to take place at Loyola University in Chicago this Friday, February 26 as part of their annual Colossus weekend.

In a statement issued on their website, the university's Department of Programming said the cancellation was caused by the singer's "personal reasons." The statement added, "Kesha has expressed her disappointment in having to cancel, but she feels that this is the best decision for her at this time. We respect her decision and wish her well."

Last week, Kesha was denied an initial injunction bid against Dr. Luke whom she claimed had sexually abused her. Her defeat means she will have to release six more albums under Luke's Kemosabe Record, which is owned by Sony Music.

Since then, a number of celebrities like Ariana Grande, Lady GaGa, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift and Adele have showed support for her. Her fans even plan a rally on Friday outside Sony's New York City headquarters, urging the company to release her from Luke's label.

"Kesha was offered by Sony to record music with producers other than Dr. Luke. However, Kesha is signed with Kemosabe, Dr. Luke's recording label, which is under Sony Music's umbrella. Therefore, any music Kesha is expected to release will be under his label, have his name on it, earn him profits and will be undoubtedly left to plummet...regardless of who the producer is," said Michael Eisele, the lead organizer of the event.

The rally will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at 550 Madison Ave. on February 26.
