The 35-year-old actor responds to Stallone's request to take over the role of the lethal soldier, saying 'that would be incredible.'

AceShowbiz - Sylvester Stallone recently shared his opinion about an actor who would be perfect to replace him as John Rambo in a future film, saying that Ryan Gosling would be the right choice. Knowing the fact that Stallone chose him to play the lethal soldier, Gosling could not believe it and he was excited about it.

In an interview with CinemaBlend about his upcoming movie "The Big Short", Gosling was asked whether he heard about Stallone's wish that he would take over the role of Rambo for a "Rambo" reboot. The 35-year-old actor was surprised and asked the interviewer whether Stallone really said that.

"That would be incredible. He is one of my favorite actors," Gosling said. "The fact that he knows my name is exciting. He's the best. I'm genuinely touched that he said that. If you're lying you're an awful person."

While the next Rambo movie has not officially got a green light, Stallone took to Twitter to hint that he's currently writing the screenplay of the fifth Rambo movie. Stallone also suggested that he might reprise his role and the movie would be called "Rambo: Last Blood".

Stallone will next be seen in "Creed", in which he stars alongside Michael B. Jordan. He is also attached to star in "The Expendables 4", which has already been confirmed to shoot in 2016, and will open in U.S. theaters in 2017.
