Wendy Williams Reveals How She Lost 50 Pounds in Three Years

'I lost 50 pounds in three years, which I find to be amazing,' Wendy said in a recent Q&A video chat with fans where she was asked how to lose weight like her.

AceShowbiz - Wendy Williams revealed that she lost 50 pounds over the course of three years. In a recent Q&A video chat with fans, the host of "The Wendy Williams Show" said that it took workout and diet to lose her weight.

"I go to the gym because it's not about me losing weight at this point, it's about me trying to fight heart disease," Wendy said of her motivation to hit the gym. "Everybody needs to raise their heart, at least once a week." Regarding her gym regimen, Wendy simply said, "A lot of cardio." In addition to cardio, the 51-year-old media personality liked pilates because "it involves lying down and relaxing."

"Regarding my eating routine, well, I've told you I cut meat from my diet. I can't say that has made me lose the weight because I was already - I lost 50 pounds in three years, which I find to be amazing," Wendy revealed. "Because of all the crazy diets I've been on, none have ever been as effective as [saying to myself], 'Just push back, fatso. Just stop eating so much.' "

Wendy also admitted that she no longer ate after dark and consumed refined sugars and dairy. On the other hand, she "picked up on other great habits like juicing." She then said, "I don't love food as much as I used to."

"Slow and steady is the name of the game... It's not going to happen overnight. I no longer believe in fad diets, crash diets. I don't believe in diet pills. I don't want my heart to race and pop out of my chest," Wendy concluded the explanation of her lifestyle change.

"I did have a jump-start because years ago I did get the liposuction and a tummy tuck, but I have to say that, if there is a poster child for plastic surgery and the jump-off to a new lifestyle, it would be me," Wendy admitted. "I'm not suggesting that you get liposuction at all."
