Described by Estefan as a musical 'celebration of Hispanics and our accomplishments,' the song which will also feature his wife Gloria Estefan is scheduled for release later this month.

AceShowbiz - A bunch of Latina superstars are uniting against racism. A few months after Donald Trump made controversial remarks about Mexican immigrants, Billboard reported that Emilio Estefan had enlisted some of his famous friends including Shakira and Carlos Santana for a new song called "We're All Mexican".

Estefan's wife Gloria Estefan, Wisin, Wyclef Jean, Thalia and Pepe Aguilar are other names tapped for the project. Described as a musical "celebration of Hispanics and our accomplishments," the song will be released later this month.

Trump offended millions of Mexicans while making his presidential candidacy earlier this year. At that time, he said, "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems (to) us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."

However, Estefan insisted that "We're All Mexican" wouldn't be particularly directed at the Republican presidential candidate, whom he's known "for many, many years."

"There's a message being sent out to the world where people are giving opinions that are plain wrong," Estefan explained to Billboard. "We need to lift up our pride and show the world what we're doing."

He continued, "[The song] is an answer to the sentiment that we've progressed [as Hispanics] and we need to let people know that." The 19-time Grammy winner added that he wanted to "send a message that represents unity" with the star-studded track.
