Mexican rock musician/guitarist and Puerto Rican reggaeton recording artist are among those to be honored at this year's Billboard Latin Music Awards. The two musicians are confirmed to be handed with special discretionary awards by Billboard.

Carlos, who is the founder of band , will be given Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions in expanding the reach of Latin music worldwide. And, Daddy will receive Spirit of Hope Award for his humanitarian work of rehabilitating youthful offenders and providing basic services to underprivileged youth through his Corazon Guerrero Foundation.

Like the old saying goes, people can't buy love. Having a successful career in the music industry and have been married for 34 years appear to be not enough for and his wife to maintain their husband-and-wife union. The couple is heading for divorce, it has been reported.

Deborah Santana has on October 19th filed for divorce in Marin County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. No more details being made public, with Carlos' publicist, Michael Jensen, said the case is "a private matter and there is no comment."

Some Rock Legends Sue Memorabilia Web Site for Illegally Selling Vintage Recordings and Memorabilia

Numbers of rock legends, including , members of the , , and , have all filed a lawsuit Monday Dec 18th, against William Sagan, operator of the San Francisco-based Web site Wolfgang's Vault, accusing him of illegally selling vintage recordings and memorabilia.

In the suit, filed in U.S. District Court in San Francisco, those musicians claimed that Sagan bought the archives of rock promoter Bill Graham after his death in 1991, which include thousands of concert posters, shirts, photographs and recordings, which the artists never authorized for Sagan to distribute.

Santana's Nice Collaboration at L.A Fundraiser

Attending a fundraiser that saluted his charity work on Wednesday, March 1, 2006, not only received an honor from the event's host, California Rural Legal Assistance Inc, but also took participation onstage as he, along with , joined Los Lobos to perform Santana's track of "Guajira together. According to a Los Lobos road crew member, the Latin guitarist's collaboration with the band at the event turned out to be the first in about five year.

Santana and his wife, Debrorah, received the honor for their works through Milagro Foundation which is dedicated to benefit underrepresented and underprivileged children around the world and has distributed over $2 million to provide grants for other organizations with similar purpose since its establishment in 1998.

Carlos Santana's new album "All That I Am" has been pushed to September 6 release from its original schedule of June 21. The reason for the cancellation is unknown.

Just like his previous albums, this new set is tipped to feature collaborations with a number of high-profile acts, including Michelle Branch, OutKast's Big Boi, Mary J. Blige, Los Lonely Boys, the Black Eyed Peas, Sean Paul, Robert Randolph and Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett.

The 12th annual BMI Latin Awards held at the Four Seasons hotel on Thursday night April 21, 2005, has named genius guitarist, Carlos Santana, the BMI Icon. Joining him were Emilio Estefan and Latin pop star Estefano, who both shared the songwriter of the year award.

To note, Estefan was honored for his work on Cristian Castro's "No Hace Falta," Shalim's "Se Me Olvido Tu Nombre" and Victor Manuelle's "Tengo Ganas"; whereas Estefano picked up his sixth BMI award for "Ahora Quien" by Marc Anthony, "Quitemonos La Ropa" by NG2 and "Y Todo Queda En Nada" by Ricky Martin.
