AceShowbiz - Shakira seemingly didn't expect to fall for Lucien Laviscount when she decided to work with him on the "Punteria" music video. According to a new report, the singer is "pleasantly surprised by how charming and funny he was."
Revealing the news was Us Weekly. A source additionally told the outlet that the 47-year-old and the "Emily in Paris" star are "casually" seeing each other after they had "chemistry" while filming the 2024 visuals. Still, they are not taking anything seriously just yet.
Meanwhile, a second source divulged that Shakira is "happy" with where things are headed between her and Lucien. A third insider added, "Shakira and Lucien have a light playful thing going on - and he's very into her."
While the alleged couple appeared to have enjoyed their romance, the singer's pals are reportedly concerned over the actor's "player" reputation and fear that he will break her heart. "Shakira is desperate to fall in love - but her friends are concerned because Lucien has slowly crept his way up the celebrity ladder while dating women who were all less famous than Shakira," a source told Daily Mail.
"The women he has been with are all very different. Nnow he is seeing Shakira - and she wants love," the source continued. "But her friends fear he just wants people to know his name and she provides that."
The source said Shakira's friends believe she's "not over her ex" Gerard Pique just yet and that everyone "knows" the younger actor "is a rebound." The informant concludes, "She is dating someone who they fear is a player and she is going to get burned."
Shakira and Lucien first sparked dating rumors after they were spotted dining out together on March 26. The two were seen walking side-by-side as they were heading to the swanky Italian restaurant Carbone in New York City. They did not show any PDA, but the Colombian star appeared to be in good spirits as she was all smiles during the night out.
