AceShowbiz - Morgan Freeman will star in upcoming action movie "Down to a Sunless Sea", according to Deadline. Focus Features has bought the script by David Gleeson. While the logline is under wraps, the flick is said to be similar in tone with "Air Force One".

Bruce Cohen and Morgan's company Revelations, which is headed by Lori McCreary, are producing the project. CAA brokered the package deal. It's another plum project for Focus whose CEO Peter Schlessel won the most coveted title at Cannes, the Tom Ford-directed movie "Nocturnal Animals" starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams.

Morgan will reprise his role as Allan Trumbull in "London Has Fallen" alongside other original stars like Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Angela Bassett and Robert Forster. The "Olympus Has Fallen" sequel directed by Babak Najafi is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on January 22, 2016.

David was attached in 2013 to write J.R.R. Tolkien's biopic "Tolkien" for Fox Searchlight and Chernin Entertainment.
