James Franco is developing a movie version of Alex Marwood's crime thriller "The Killer Next Door". In the upcoming movie, Franco will team up with Ahna O'Reilly who will also possibly star in the movie.

Franco and Vince Jolivette will produce the murder mystery movie through their Rabbit Bandini Productions. The book, which the film will be based on, centers on six neighbors forced into an unlikely alliance without realizing that one of them is a killer who will do anything to protect his secret.

Franco and O'Reilly have previously worked together on indie drama "In Dubious Battle", which Franco directed and produced, while O'Reilly starred in alongside Selena Gomez, Robert Duvall, Ed Harris and Bryan Cranston. Another indie drama by Franco is "The Long Home", which is based on William Gay's coming-of-age story starring Franco, Josh Hutcherson and Zoe Levin.

Franco was last seen in "True Story" and Sony's "The Interview". He also produced and starred in the drama "I Am Michael", a story of a gay activist who rejects his homosexuality and becomes a Christian pastor.

As for O'Reilly, she was last seen in "The Sound and the Fury" and will be next seen in "She's Funny That Way" alongside stars Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston".
