The '12 Years a Slave' actress calls the pearl-adorned dress 'a timeless and priceless piece of art,' and the CK creative director Francisco Costa says the gown will be 'restored and archived.'

AceShowbiz - Lupita Nyong'o and Calvin Klein issue a statement each after the stolen dress she wore to the Academy Awards was recovered. The gown valued at $150,000 was stolen from the actress' room at the London West Hollywood Hotel earlier this week.

"Collaborating with Francisco for my Oscar dress this year was such a special and unforgettable experience," the Oscar-winning star said. "I'm happy that it has been potentially recovered. It is a timeless and priceless piece of art."

The CK creative director Francisco Costa who designed the dress chimed in, "All of us at Calvin Klein are thrilled to know that the dress has potentially been located. This was an amazing collaboration between the brand and Lupita and the dress looked truly exquisite on her. Once it's returned to us, we will be able to have the dress restored and archived, as it now represents an important moment for the brand."

After missing for two days, the gown was eventually returned by the thief on Friday. It was stuffed in a trash bag under a bathroom sink at the same hotel. The thief who hasn't been identified called TMZ, claiming the pearls decorating the dress were fake.

Neither Nyong'o nor Costa addressed the fake pearl controversy, but a Calvin Klein source said, "Did anyone ever say they were real from Calvin Klein? I always assumed everyone knew they were fake, but I guess not."
