Katy Perry to Perform at Barack Obama Fundraising Concert

The 'Wide Awake' songstress is one of the artists who will take part at the '30 Days to Victory Concert' in Los Angeles on October 7.

Katy Perry is going to lend her celebrity status to support Barack Obama campaign fundraiser. The "Firework" hitmaker is set to sing at the "30 Days to Victory Concert" which will take place at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on October 7.

The 27-year-old, who voiced Smurfette in "The Smurfs" film, will be joined by other stars, who will be announced later, at the fundraising concert. Tickets will be on sale during the campaign, starting at $44 per person for supporters under age 40. General ticket is $250 per person.

Following the concert, there will be a dinner hosted by Jeffrey Katzenberg with the reigning U.S. President at a nearby restaurant. Tickets for the dinner are available starting at $25,000 per person.

Most recently, famous couple Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z held a fundraiser for President Obama in New York City. The reception, which was held at Jigga's 40/40 Club in Manhattan on Tuesday night, September 18, raised $4 million from 100 people who each paid $40,000 to attend the event.
