CNN, E! and BET to Air Live Coverage of Whitney Houston's Funeral

CNN and E! will broadcast the service taking place at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark on Saturday, February 18, with BET planning a news special 'Live: The Homegoing of Whitney Houston'.

AceShowbiz - Several cable networks have unveiled their plans to air coverage of Whitney Houston's funeral on Saturday, February 18. CNN is one of them, scheduling "Whitney Houston: Life, Death Music" which will be anchored by Piers Morgan, Soledad O'Brien and Don Lemon at 11:00 A.M. ET.

E! will additionally broadcast the funeral without interruptions from inside the church. Tapped as the anchor is Jason Kennedy, who will provide insight into the the details of the event. The channel also plans an E! News Special Report, "Whitney Houston: The Funeral", beginning at 11:30 A.M. ET.

As for BET, it will cover the funeral of the late pop icon on its news special, "Live: The Homegoing of Whitney Houston", which begins at 11:30 A.M. ET. A one-hour special titled "BET Remembers Whitney" will follow the live coverage.

A new cable channel, Bounce TV, also plans to air the funeral without commercial interruption starting at 9 A.M. PT. Other networks which will air coverage of the private service include Fox News Channel, HLN and MSNBC.

Houston's publicist has previously announced that The Associated Press will be the pool camera for the ceremony, which will be held at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey. Some stars invited to the funeral are Chaka Khan, Diane Warren, Darlene Love, L.A. Reid, Ray J, Brandy, Kevin Costner and Houston's ex-husband Bobby Brown.
