Sarah Jessica Parker has been photographed sporting a '70s ensemble to portray iconic feminist Gloria Steinem on the set of "Lovelace". The "Sex and the City" actress was caught on camera filming a scene in Los Angeles on early Wednesday, February 1.
Donning a bright blond wig, the 46-year-old star appeared almost unrecognisable as she was also seen wearing dark contact lenses. She finished off her vintage look with a nude color long cardigan that she paired with a matching obi belt.
Parker took over the role of Gloria Steinem from Demi Moore, who decided to exit the project last Tuesday, January 24 following her headline-grabber hospitalization. Of the sudden decision, Moore's rep said that the actress has chosen to "seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health."
As for Steinem, the character was the founder of Ms. Magazine, which published the infamous article "The Real Linda Lovelace" that revealed Linda's relationship with her abusive husband Chuck Traynor. She also wrote "Out of Bondage", an introduction for Linda's 1986 memoir.
In the movie, Parker is joined by a set of notable actors, such as Amanda Seyfried as the titular star, Peter Sarsgaard as her husband Traynor, Juno Temple as her best friend, Sharon Stone and Robert Patrick as her parents, as well as Wes Bentley as her second husband.
The production of the biopic project has begun since December 2011 in Los Angeles. Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman serve as the helmer. Serving as the screenwriters for the film are Merritt Johnson and Andy Bellin, who wrote the script based on Eric Danville's "The Complete Linda Lovelace", a biography published in 2001.
"Lovelace" follows iconic porn star Linda Lovelace who was an ordinary schoolgirl in Florida before she met and married her abusive husband Chuck Traynor. The husband transformed her into the world's most famous adult film star, who was famously known for playing in 1972's hardcore porn film "Deep Throat".
