Both actresses are in negotiations to star in the follow-up to 'Valentine's Day' with Biel reportedly portraying a pregnant woman.
Two more Hollywood beauties are going to support "New Year's Eve". According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), Jessica Biel and Sofia Vergara are currently in talks to join the cast ensemble of the movie, which is set to start production later this month in New York.
Biel, who has worked together with Garry Marshall in "Valentine's Day", is said to portray a pregnant woman who, along with her husband, tries to win a cash prize given by a hospital to the couple who is first to give birth on New Year's Day. She was last seen in "The A-Team".
As for Vergara's role, THR does not provide details about her character. The "Modern Family" actress recently appeared in Tyler Perry's "Madea Goes to Jail" and will next be seen in "The Smurfs" movie.
Previously, the likes of Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank and Ashton Kutcher have been reported to star in "New Year's Eve" and are now in various stages of negotiations to take lead roles. Additionally, Lea Michele and Abigail Breslin are allegedly on board the project, which will become a big screen debut for the "Glee" thesp.
A follow-up to star-studded "Valentine's Day", "New Year's Eve" will tell intertwining stories of a group of New Yorkers as they navigate their way through romance over the course of New Year's Eve. New Line Cinema eyes to release the forthcoming romantic comedy on December 9, 2011 Stateside.
