First teaser poster and still from Samuel Bayer-directed movie "A Nightmare on Elm Street" have been revealed. IGN has debuted the horror film's one-sheet, while MySpace put out the first official photo. Both of the first looks gave out Jackie Earle Haley as the major antagonist Freddy Krueger, but hid the serial killer's face in the darkness.
Exposing Krueger from the front side, the teaser poster which is also spotted being used as the movie's banner at San Diego Comic Con 2009, highlights more on his shining razor glove. The first still, in the meantime, shows the burned-psycho standing in what seems to be young kids classroom with one of his artificial sharp claws resting on the wall.
Produced by Michael Bay, Bradley Fuller and Andrew Form under Platinum Dunes banner, "A Nightmare on Elm Street" is a remake of 1984 Wes Craven's movie of the same name. Rooney Mara, Katie Cassidy, Thomas Dekker and Kellan Lutz are among the cast ensemble in addition to Jackie Earle Haley. To be released on April 30, 2010, it centers on Freddy Krueger, a serial killer who haunts teenagers in their dreams and kills them while they are fast asleep.
