A picture which will be featured on the front page of Whitney Houston's upcoming studio album "I Look to You" has been revealed. The photo sees a up-close look at her wearing a white one shoulder.
Describing the new effort as "a labor of love", Whitney will drop it across United States on September 1. In advance of the album, she has treated fans with a new song called "I Didn't Know My Own Strength". She has also previewed several tracks from the record in a listening party at Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Knightsbridge, London on July 14.
"When Clive called me I was pretty ready to buy my island home [and retire] but he said, 'No, you're going to sing again, people want to hear you'," Whitney said of Sony Music chief creative officer Clive Davis' support toward her.
Among other new songs Whitney showcased during the bash were "Like I Never Left" which features Akon, "I Look to You" which teams her up with R. Kelly, and "Call You Tonight" which is likely to be the album's lead single. Beside having Akon and R. Kelly as her collaborators, Whitney also gets helping hands from Alicia Keys, Diane Warren and Johnta Austin on the songwriting desk.
In related news, Whitney Houston is reported to be lined up as an opening act in ABC's Good Morning America Autumn Concert Series. In the free gig which exact date and venue are yet to be disclosed, she is also expected to entertain fans with her new songs from the forthcoming effort.

Ms.Houston oh how long has it been 8 or 9yrs. I have been waiting for such a long time, and at one point I felt as though you have given up on singing. I know sweetheart they will build you up to tear you down, and it's hard to keep the personal life away from peeping eyes, but baby all the shit you have been through, you have enough to sing about for the next 10 years. Don't stop singing, and don't stay gone so long. You know the saying here today gone tomorrow.
