High profile couple, Djimon Hounsou and Kimora Lee Simmons, has become the proud parents of a newborn baby boy. A representative for Kimora confirms the matter, telling E! News the actress and model gave birth on Saturday morning, May 30.
No other details of the baby boy are publicly shared. Meanwhile, the representative has been quoted as telling several news media that both mother and baby "are doing great". Kimora herself has also tweeted about her infant, writing "It's a boy! Thanks to everyone out there for all your well wishes! More to come. Thank God. And God Bless! Kimora + Djimon Love & Light, KLS."
The newborn baby is the first child for Djimon and the third for Kimora. She and ex-husband Russell Simmons share custody of their daughters, Ming Lee and Aoki Lee.
Djimon Hounsou and Kimora Lee Simmons have been dating since 2007. Report of them expecting their first child first emerged in January this year. However, neither of them has addressed the issue.
