Blake Lively' Serena van der Woodsen will get a new teacher when Laura Breckenridge appears on the upcoming episodes of 'Gossip Girl'.

AceShowbiz - A guest appearance from Laura Breckenridge will be seen on the upcoming episodes of "Gossip Girl". Exclusively reported by EW's Michael Ausiello, the "Related" actress will get her debut gig on The CW hit teen drama series as a new teacher at Constance Billard.

The 25-year-old actress will play a character named Rachel Carr, the idealistic and fresh-faced new English teacher at the elite private high school in New York City's Upper East Side. On the series, it is said that Breckenridge's character will be featured for a minimum of three episodes.

Regarding Breckenridge's character, bonus information has been given by "Gossip Girl" producers saying that there will be a scene where Carr gets mistaken for a student on her first day. In the meantime, the airdates of Breckenridge guest-starring episodes are still to be determined.

Adapted from the popular novel series of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar, "Gossip Girl" series revolves around the lives of socialite teenagers, played by Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, and Penn Badgley. It follows them as they grow up in New York City's Upper East Side and attend elite academic institutions while dealing with sex, drugs, jealousy, and other issues.
