Sneak Peek of Lady GaGa's Performance on 'Gossip Girl'
November 11, 2009 11:11:32The CW is not wasting their success in nabbing one of the hottest artists this year, Lady GaGa, as the guest star of "Gossip Girl". After releasing a regular promo which was played at the end of this Monday's episode for "The Last Days of Disco Stick", the network drops the one which is focusing entirely on Lady GaGa and her "Bad Romance" performance.
In the episode, GaGa is invited because Blair wants to impress the elitist theater kids at NYU with her private concert. The singer previously said that she refused to only sing in the middle of the scene and "screw everything up" with a sudden, meaningless performance. She thus joined the writers and producers to reveal what kind of performance she wants.

'Gossip Girl' 3.10 Preview: Threesome and Lady GaGa
November 10, 2009 11:11:31The threesome of "Gossip Girl" this week is just the beginning. The November 16 episode will reveal more layers of the kinky activity done by Olivia, Dan and Vanessa. In the preview, Olivia says it out loud that she thinks Vanessa is deeply in love with her childhood friend, Dan.
The three-way sex story arc has somewhat created a controversy since its first hint was given via EW. Parents TV Council (PTC) has warned The CW that it will pay close attention to the episode and will charge the network with necessary fine should it trespass any broadcasting rules. Despite the warning, the network went on with the episode, showing Dan, Vanessa and Olivia doing the last thing on their Ultimate College Experience list which they haven't done. There is still no comment yet from PTC.

Lady GaGa Talks How She Earned 'Gossip Girl' Cameo
November 06, 2009 02:11:35Lady GaGa revealed that she had the liberation to perform they way she wanted on "Gossip Girl". The singer said in an interview with MTV News that the writers let her do "whatever the hell". She called the cameo a "crazy performance-art piece."
Her teen sister was actually the one who encouraged her to play a part on the show. She explained, "First of all, my sister's a huge fan, and she's 17 years old. So when I called her and said 'Gossip Girl' wants to put my whole new album on the show and have me perform, she was like 'Oh my God, you have to do it. It's an amazing show'. And I'd seen it. It's a great show."

'Gossip Girl' Threesome Episode Under PTC Threat
November 04, 2009 03:11:39"Gossip Girl" very special episode of threesome which is scheduled to air on Monday, November 9 is under threat of not being aired. The Parents Television Council (PTC) has released an open letter to The CW that they are objecting to the idea of such scene. They claimed such moves are "reckless and irresponsible".
" 'Gossip Girl' routinely depicts teenage characters engaging in promiscuous and consequence-free sexual behavior, and that's bad enough," PTC president Tim Winter wrote. "But will you now be complicit in establishing a precedent and expectation that teenagers should engage in behaviors heretofore associated primarily with adult films?"

Lady GaGa to Guest Star on 'Gossip Girl'
October 07, 2009 11:10:35Not stopping at Hilary Duff and Tyra Banks, "Gossip Girl" is moving forward with signing one more major guest star. The latest report from New York Daily News suggested that Lady GaGa is the next star to pop up on the show and that she has filmed her part on Tuesday, October 6 in the lower East Side.
The CW drama has previously nabbed a guest appearance from another music act No Doubt who went by the name Snowed Out in a crowded gig scene. GaGa, similarly will be a performer on the show, but NY Daily News noted that she would "perform as herself". There is no clue yet when the episode with GaGa on will be airing.

Carter Becomes Major on 'Gossip Girl' Season 3
August 27, 2009 11:08:49Sebastian Stan is getting a lot of camera time this upcoming season of "Gossip Girl". His character Carter Baizen reportedly will be "a major figure" in the first seven episodes of the CW show and will probably be recurring heavily in the rest of the episodes. E! Online, which has acquired this information from a source close to the show, noted that "nothing's set in stone" yet.
In the season 2 finale of the drama, Carter came to Serena's rescue when she was desperately looking for her biological father. Carter, who appeared in the show as Chuck's nemesis, finally was able to locate his whereabout and informed Serena about it. Their relationship apparently will grow stronger from there because in one of the promo pictures released for the third season, Carter is actually seen kissing Serena.

Sonic Youth Coming to 'Gossip Girl' for Lily and Rufus

Confirmed by EW, the rock band's appearance will be featured in the 5th episode where the attention will be given to engaged couple Rufus and Lily. Creator Stephanie Savage won't detail the circumstances but it is presumed that the band may play in their wedding. "Just draw your own conclusions," she said with a laugh.

'Gossip Girl' Spin-Off Is Unlikely to Air
August 05, 2009 03:08:58Despite the popularity of "Gossip Girl", the spin-off is unable to penetrate The CW's seal of approval. During the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, the network's president Dawn Ostroff explained that the new show is not exactly axed but "not right now. It doesn't look like it's likely." The show, which is starring Brittany Snow as young Lily van der Woodsen, had been excluded from the Fall 2009 list.
Ostroff was more firm in determining the fate of "The Body Politic", a drama starring Brian Austin Green and Minka Kelly among others. "It's dead," she said. "I've never been in a situation where literally every pilot we shot this year could have made it on the schedule. We had a really difficult time deciding what was going to fit on the network. ...As much as we all loved Body Politic, we just didn't go with it. And I think the show hasn't been seen really by anybody because it was just a pilot, but the actors, the producers, the writers - they did a really good job."

This time it takes the part when Blair enters the Dean of Yale's office right after Serena and finds out that Serena has been talking some things about her with the Dean.
The clip is also on the part when Chuck calls out to Serena who said that she doesn't have time to explain because she is invited to the Dean's house. And Chuck starts to make fun of that, sending some sense to Serena's head that she may be in for the shortlist of Yale if she does come, while in fact he knows that Serena only wants to get back at Blair.

Through the preview given last week, this last line will backfire on Blair as Serena takes her words as a challenge. While waiting for an appointment with the dean of Yale, Blair is surprised to find out that the person coming out of the office is Serena.

Although the opening number is a slight decline from its pilot episode (3.5 million), "Gossip Girl" attracted more adult demographic aged 18 to 49 that goes up 6 per cent. CW also announced that it also appeals higher to women aged 18 to 34, a demographic which has become the most-coveted. Their key demo rounded up in three major cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.
