Courteney Cox to Make Special Appearance on 'Scrubs' Upcoming Season

Moving to ABC network on January 2009, 'Scrubs' season eight will feature Courteney Cox as Sacred Heart's new chief of medicine.

Season eight of comedy drama series "" will be invaded by the special appearance of . As reported by Associated Press, the "Friends" alum has been picked up to guest star on the upcoming episodes of the hospital comedy.

Moreover, the 44-year-old star is playing a character named Dr. Maddox, Sacred Heart's new chief of medicine, for a three-episode arc. On "Scrubs", Cox is joining the series regulars including , , and . A clip previewing Cox's appearance on "Scrubs" can be seen below.

In addition, Courteney Cox also has been previously reported to make a guest star appearance on a new single-camera comedy entitled "" which will be filmed in early January 2009.

Starting on January 6, 2009, after having a long-running seven seasons with NBC network, the series which is created by Bill Lawrence will be aired on ABC network. "Scrubs" is an Emmy Award-winning comedy series which tells about the lives of several people working at Sacred Heart.
