'Scrubs' Is Dead According to Zach Braff
March 24, 2010 09:03:16After many attempts to keep it alive, "Scrubs" is a finally a goner. ABC may not have released an official statement yet but the show's executive producer and former star Zach Braff has decided to share the news via his Facebook.
"Many of you have asked, so here it is," Zach wrote, "it appears that 'New Scrubs', 'Scrubs 2.0', 'Scrubs with new kids', 'Scrubbier', 'Scrubs without JD' is no more. It was worth a try, but alas... it didn't work. Zb"

'Scrubs' Locked for 9th Season With Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke
May 15, 2009 02:05:09Talks are rive on the good chance "Scrubs" will get for a ninth season pick-up, although nothing has been set in stone yet. Moreover, original cast Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke are reportedly on board for at least six transitional episodes that may change its direction from single camera to multi-camera approach.
Others reportedly billed to return are John C. McGinley, Donald Faison and Neil Flynn. However, the three actors' participation in the series will depend on whether or not their other pilots are being picked next week. Faison and Flynn are both involved in ABC's "The Law" while McGinley is tied to CBS' "Back".

Third Webisode of 'Scrubs': Our Meeting in the Broom Closet
January 14, 2009 10:01:41The latest webisode of "Scrubs" has been premiered on ABC.com, taking the scene between the interns and The Janitor. The four newbies are given a note to a meeting in a broom closet where they are led to the private room of Janitor.
In the so-called meeting, Janitor starts rumbling on the rules that the foursome have to agree upon including not projecting any questions. Struck by the authority that the Janitor has, including Ted asking him about the "next appointment", the interns listen to him in awe.

Sneak Peek of 'Scrubs' 8.07: My Nah Nah Nah
January 09, 2009 02:01:42The opening scene of "Scrubs" episode 8.07 titled "My Nah Nah Nah" has been released. No synopsis yet for the January 27 episode but from the preview it looks like J.D. and Christopher are arguing on how the song is played at the sports center, which they hum with "nah nah nah".
There has been a speculation that the eight season will be the last for the show since Zach Braff who plays J.D. and creator Bill Lawrence are going to make their exit after this season ends. Regarding this, Lawrence told EW, "The reality is, Scrubs is incredibly reasonably priced. And without Zach's salary and my salary, it's probably cheaper to make then some new shows." He added, "I think if this show comes on and by February it's doing a 3 rating [in the 18-49 demo], it'll be on for another year. And if it's not, it won't. And if it's in the middle somewhere, they will wait and decide along with all their new pilots."

In this second part of the web series that ABC release for the medical comedy, Zach Braff makes a cameo as J.D., explaining the vernaculars and acronyms used in the hospital to the interns.
Hosted by one of the four interns named Sunny, the webisode is released each week on ABC.com after the airing of a "Scrubs" episode. Last week, another similar video diary recounts on the newbie's first day at Sacred Heart Hospital where Dr. Perry Cox gives an introduction to them.

The webisodes series which focus on the interns, begins with a video diary by a newbie at the Sacred Heart Hospital, named Sunny. Cameos are made by Dr. Perry Cox and Ted among others.
The webisodes will be released once a week on ABC.com. Korbi from Zap2It, spilled that apart from the introduction to new characters like typical pilots, there will be a lecture from J.D. who explains on vernaculars and acronyms used in the hospital to the interns. Ted will have a singing lady and Taran Killam makes an appearance.

Courteney Cox to Make Special Appearance on 'Scrubs' Upcoming Season
December 03, 2008 11:12:53Season eight of comedy drama series "Scrubs" will be invaded by the special appearance of Courteney Cox. As reported by Associated Press, the "Friends" alum has been picked up to guest star on the upcoming episodes of the hospital comedy.
Moreover, the 44-year-old star is playing a character named Dr. Maddox, Sacred Heart's new chief of medicine, for a three-episode arc. On "Scrubs", Cox is joining the series regulars including Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison and John C. McGinley. A clip previewing Cox's appearance on "Scrubs" can be seen below.

'Scrubs' Off-Limit for NBC Stars Masi Oka and Sarah Lancaster
September 09, 2008 12:09:31Due to respective commitments to the production house where their TV shows are under, "Heroes" star Masi Oka and "Chuck" actress Sarah Lancaster won't return as guest stars of "Scrubs". It has been months since NBC that own the right to "Heroes" and "Chuck" lost the sitcom "Scrubs" to ABC.
NBC officially ban Oka and Lancaster from recurring their roles in the series that will open a whole new chapter next year in spring. On the decision, "Scrubs" creator Bill Lawrence accommodates his disappointment, saying "They (Oka and Lancaster) wanted to do it, but NBC said no. Typical classy stuff," and adding "But (they) should not have been part of that fight. It felt kind of petty to me."
