2007 MuchMusic Awards Nominees Revealed



MuchMusic Awards is back in its 18th cycle with fresh batch of nominees that spans from Canadian native like Avril Lavigne to international artists like Fergie.

Canadian very own MuchMusic Video Awards has revealed the names included as this year's nominees. Favorite artists ranging from the Canadian natives like k-os and City and Colour will compete with more globally successful artists such as Nelly Furtado and Avril Lavigne.

Artists are nominated in 4 separate categories that boast both Canadian and international set. Canadian favorite artists can be chosen among the selection of Lavigne, Furtado, George, City and Colour, and k-os while the international one will be selected among Akon, Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie, Gwen Stefani, Hilary Duff and Justin Timberlake.

In Canadian group categories, Billy Talent and Nickelback will receive a strong competition from Alexisonfire, Hedley and Three Days Grace. Favorite International Group, meanwhile leaves Evanescence, The Killers, My Chemical Romance, The Pussycat Dolls, Red Hot Chili Peppers to compete against each other.

The 18th annual MuchMusic Video Awards takes place on June 17th and air live at 9 pm ET with red carpet moment beginning half an hour earlier. Voting has begun and fans can pick their favorite through online or text messages. Visit muchmusic.com to star voting.
