Black Eyed Peas' Fergie Adds Up to the Star-Studded Cast of 'Nine'

The singing crew of Rob Marshall's drama musical "Nine" has grown even bigger. After actress Kate Hudson was announced joining the cast ensemble few days back, successful R 'n' B singer Fergie whose real name is Stacy Ferguson is now reported to be following Hudson's footstep as well.

Though what character she will be portraying in the Broadway musical adaptation still remains unknown, the only female singer in Black Eyed Peas is said to be getting her first significant leading role. By nailing the role, she will be joining also Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Judi Dench and Sophia Loren.

Video Premiere: Nelly's 'Stepped On My Js' Ft. Ciara/Jermaine Dupri

After a preview of it streamed in April, finally the full official music video for Nelly's "Stepped On My Js" has got premiered on BET on June 11. Just like the song the clip also features appearances from Jermaine Dupri and Ciara.

The clip, which is also being used as a campaign ad for Nike shoe product Air Jordan, starts with Nelly rapping in front of a car. The clip also features lots of basketball game scenes with all of the clip stars wearing the Air Jordan product.

Sergio Mendes Taps Fergie on New Album

Sergio Mendes is making a new and bold breakthrough on his upcoming album "Encanto" by tapping Stacy Ferguson a.ka. Fergie to rap on the set "The Look of Love". The new song itself is actually a cover of Burt Bacharach and it is being produced by Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am.

Beside that track, there will be also other cool songs that are being included on Sergio's New LP, which are a hip-hop version of "Agua De Beber", "Waters of March", "Somewhere In The Hills" and many more. Meanwhile, aside from Fergie and will.i.am other musicians that have also being tapped by the musician are the likes of Juanes and Natalie Cole.

Winners of the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards Japan

Saturday night, May 31, the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards Japan was held at the Saitama Super Arena and among the winners are some famous names in the music world, such as Stacy Ferguson a.k.a. Fergie, Ne-Yo, Mariah Carey, and Avril Lavigne.

At the annual event, Fergie managed to take home one of the top awards which was the Best Female Video for her "Big Girls Don't Cry". Meanwhile, the Best Male Video award goes to Ne-Yo for his "Because Of You" clip. Mariah took home the MTV Video Vanguard award and Avril grabbed the Best Pop Video with her "Girlfriend" clip.

Stacy Ferguson to Launch Jewelry Line

Has had her own line of bag, Stacy Ferguson is taking her designer career to the next level as she's about to launch her own line of jewelry. The songbird discussed the possible future career in an interview with OK! magazine during the launch of her newest creations for her bag line, Fergie for Kipling.

Being asked by the publication what she would do next after having done promotional ads for Candy's fashion line and MAC make-up among others, Fergie said she would probably do jewelry line. "I'll take it step by step, day by day" she admitted, adding "because I don't want to swamp myself and if I sign up for something, I won't have the time and put the effort in."

Fergie Joins Mariah Carey for Dubai Gig

A new gig is set to be added on Stacy Ferguson a.k.a Fergie's list. The singer will be performing at a music festival in Dubai from May 15 to 16.

It won't be for the first time that Fergie performs in Dubai as previously she has already stopped by for a gig with her group Black Eyed Peas in 2006. On the festival, the "Big Girls Don't Cry" singer will also be joined by pop diva Mariah Carey.

Behind the Scene of Nelly's 'Party People' Video

With the video out and about for viewing, Nelly's "Party People" receives its behind-the-scene footage. The clip that was outed by the rapper's label Universal Motown, features the on-set shooting that includes Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie and video interviews.

In the clip, Nelly and the video's director Mark Webb gave out their insights to the making of the video that involves a lot of people. The original video was premiered on April 14 on MTV, showing Fergie in both modern look and classical 'Moulin Rogue' image. It was shot in Los Angeles earlier this year with cameos from Keri Hilson and the song's producer Polow Da Don.

Fergie to Release 'The Dutchess' Deluxe Edition

New report comes from the Black Eyed Peas' Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie. Speaking to MTV, Fergie reveals that she plans to re-release her hit solo album "The Dutchess" and turn it as a deluxe album. On the repackaged album she confirmed that she will add new songs that weren't on the first album such as, "Party People" which features collaboration with Nelly and also "Labels or Love" which will be the theme song for "Sex and the City" movie spin-off.

The singer commented that she agreed to make a repackaged version of her previous album because it is the trend now and it also gives her the chance to put her unreleased songs. "That's what everyone's doing nowadays, I hear. The label came to me and said this would be a good idea, and I thought, 'Well, OK, if this is another way for me to put out these songs that I've been wanting people to hear, then great.' The music business is changing, and this repackage thing is a new way for people to put out songs that they want people to hear, so I'm cool with it," Fergie said.

Fergie, Jennifer Hudson On Board 'Sex and the City' Soundtrack

The soundtrack of "Sex and the City" the movie is revamped with the appearances of two award-winning singers. The flick's director Michael Patrick King revealed to Entertainment Weekly that Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie and Jennifer Hudson are chipping in their voices in the soundtrack album. The latter is known to be one of the cast in the movie, playing the main character's assistant.

Fergie is tackling a number titled "Labels & Love" which will be made the opening credit. King said that Fergie agreed to contribute in the soundtrack after she was shown the movie. "It's an entirely new song with lyrics, but it has the 'Sex and the City' theme as the DNA - on steroids," King elaborated on the sound of the song.

Timbaland Nabs His Second ASCAP Songwriter Award

Timbaland nabbed the R 'n' B songwriter of the year nod for the second time yesterday, April 9 when the winners of the 25th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards were announced. The event that honors music icons and their works also saw Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie and Gwen Stefani in the winners list.

Timbaland was given the honor for he has contributed in nine award-wining songs such as his own singles "The Way I Are" and "Give It to Me", as well as others like Justin Timberlake's "Until the End of Time" and Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous". This would be the second time he has brought home the title for in 2003 he was also awarded with the same one for his works in singles "I Care 4 U", "More Than a Woman", "Oops (Oh My)", "Work It".

Although its premiere schedule is set for Tuesday, April 15 on Yahoo! Music, Nelly's music video for "Party People" that features Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie, has surfaced on-line on WorldStarHipHop.com. The clip is the first from Nelly's upcoming album "Brass Knuckles" that is due June 24.

The Academy Award-winning actress took time out of her hectic filming schedule, turning a volunteer teacher for a day for children at a school in New Orleans, Louisiana recently.

Stacy Ferguson had her own version of wardrobe malfunction when she forgot to zip up her fly before took the stage for a show at Westpac Stadium in Wellington, New Zealand on Thursday, January 17.

The Black Eyed Peas singer was serving as the opening act for Sting and The Police at Westpac Stadium when she accidentally performed with her fly down. The minor incident was caught by photographer's camera and the photos of Fergie's wardrobe malfunction have now surfaced all over the net.

Fergie to Collaborate With Mexican Band on a Track

Fergie's team has been in talks with the management of Los Tigres Del Norte to do a collaboration. The Mexican band's frontman Jorge Hernandez revealed that they may do a track together which will be released in March this year.

"She said that she'd like to do something with us," Hernandez told PeopleEnEspanol.com. "They didn't speak directly with me. What I do know is that Fergie's producer and the person in charge of her projects got in contact with people from the company (Univision Music), and they were chatting about how they wanted to do some things with us."

In a chart war that has been dominated by Rihanna, Timbaland and Kate Nash in the top three positions, uber-producer Timbaland has claimed the first place. U.K. Singles chart this week has knocked down Rihanna's "Umbrella" from its ten week-reign to not only the runner up position but straight to the third.

Interestingly enough, the top three seems to have battled among themselves since most of those under them staying intact in their position. Although Rihanna's "Umbrella" has descended U.S. chart in the tenth week, the Jay-Z featuring hit still has its say in U.K. Singles chart. The song enters its tenth week at #1, making itself the longest running Number One single in ten years at the top of the U.K. chart.

A spokesperson for the singer announced, "She does have a commercial deal with the clothing brand Candie's, but it has nothing whatsoever to do with the creation of her music."

Revision on the U.S. Pop Album Charts for the Week Ended September 24th

Nielsen SoundScan has just released a revision on its data concerning report sales on the US pop album charts for the week ended Sunday Sept 24. The company's previous data, released Wednesday Sept 27th, is said to contain what it called as "anomalies," because an unidentified retailer was unable to report sales for the period.

And this just in, the latest 10 figure on the album charts. No. 1 is still Justin Timberlake with his second solo effort "FutureSex/LoveSounds" sold 228,000 units last week, up from the 217,000 originally reported. On the 2nd rank is Clay Aiken's "A Thousand Different Ways", taking in 211,000 units, up from 205,000. Stacy Ferguson's "The Dutchess" opens at No. 3 with 158,000 copies.

The U.S. Pop Album Charts for the Week Ended September 24th
