September 30, 2009 02:09:37Thom Yorke, the lead singer of band Radiohead, has a side project with Red Hot Chili Peppers' bassist/keyboardist Michael "Flea" Balzary. Also recruited as the new band's personnel are producer Nigel Godrich, Beck's drummer Joey Waronker and percussionist Mauro Refosco.
"In the past couple of weeks I've been getting a band together for fun to play the eraser stuff live and the new songs etc.. to see if it could work," Thom wrote on Radiohead's official website. Along with the announcement, he posted a picture of the new band. "Here's a photo.. its me, joey waronker, mauro refosco, flea and nigel godrich," so he stated.
Life of Red Hot Chili Peppers' Frontman Picked as Series
February 24, 2009 11:02:05HBO is picking up a new series based on the life of Anthony Kiedis and has hired "The Spiderwick Chronicles" writer John Sayles to handle the project. Set as a drama, it will be centered on the early life of the Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman in 1970s West Hollywood and Los Angeles.
Having "Scar Tissue" as its working title, the series chronicles the childhood of Kiedis who lived with his mother in Grand Rapids, Michigan before moving to L.A. to live with his father when he was eight.
Kiedis' father, known as Spider, was dealing drugs for living in Sunset Strips and allegedly was supplying rock stars such as The Who and Led Zeppelin. All the while, hoping to get into the show business.

The label's boss Pedro Winter speaks to the press saying that his artist has no plan to do any collaboration with the funk rockers. However in his statement he did admit that Red Hot's vocalist Anthony Kiedis is indeed a big fan of Justice.

Confirming the news and revealing the reason to take a break, Kiedis said, "We're disbanded for the moment. We actually took a very long time to make the 'Stadium Arcadium' record, because we wrote a lot of songs and then got way too married to them and decided we need it to be a double album. Which was a great experience, but it took forever. It was really a grueling, long haul."

Just yesterday rumors are circulating on that matter with some news media reporting that his home wasn't destroyed and some others claimed it was. And here comes a conformation from Flea's spokeswoman who revealed his home "had burnt to a crisp" in the Malibu fires Saturday morning November 24th.
Set the record straight on the unfortunate, the spokeswoman explained that Flea had purchased a home for more than $10 million in Malibu last year, but the house that burned was another he owned in the hills west of Corral Canyon. That French country-style home is listed for sale for $4.8 million on the website of real estate firm Pritchett-Rapf & Associates.

Red Hot Chili Peppers is set to headline Hullabaloo Festival. The band along with other artists such as Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, actor Woody Harrelson and jazz bassist Charlie Haden will appear at Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on May 5.
In its third cycle, the festival is conducted in benefit of Silverlake Conservatory of Music, a school of music co-founded by RHCP's bassist Flea and the school's dean Keith Barry. Two venues in Japan will not see Red Hot Chili Peppers performing on the scheduled dates. The band has postponed the three gigs in Osaka and Tokyo due to vocalist Anthony Kiedis' recovery term from bronchial pneumonia.
The band's official website announced on March 17 that the lead singer is under doctor's command to lay down for 10 days. The concerts are initially intended at Osaka's Kyocera Dome on March 19 and at the Tokyo Dome on March 22 and 23. Besides apologizing for the inconvenience, the website also said that rescheduling will be announced soon and the make up dates are aimed approximately this fall.

The 2007 Reading and Leeds Festival has recruited a new string of bands to perform in the event this summer. The headliners are the multiple Grammy award winning Red Hot Chili Peppers, the newly reunited rock band The Smashing Pumpkins and also half-English half-Swedish Indie pop band Razorlight.
The annual event which is also popular as Carling Weekend, will begin on August 24. The boys in the Red Hot Chili Peppers got mad when they acknowledged that their new album titled "Stadium Arcadium" has been leaked onto the Internet despite its due on sale next week.
In a letter posted on the band's Web site, bass player Michael Balzary wrote "For people to just steal a poor sound quality version of it for free because some asshole stole it and put it on the internet is sad to me."

Music act Red Hot Chili Peppers is ready to gear their North American tour beginning on August 11 in Portland, Ore.
The trek, which is aimed to promote the band's double album "Stadium Arcadium" due in stores May 9 via Warner Bros, will be broken into two legs with a few weeks off in October.

The 8th annual Voodoo Music Experience, which is slated to be held in New Orleans on October 28-29, will be liven up by Red Hot Chili Peppers. That is something for sure as the event organizers confirmed Thursday April 27th, 2006, the music act is the first figure signed on to perform.
"Despite the past year's events and the uncertainty it has created in the city, it is an honor to have the Peppers be the first act to sign on," Voodoo producer Stephen Rehage said in a statement. "I think it speaks volumes about the influence New Orleans Music and musicians have had on the world."

The 2006 Lollapalooza festival is coming. The blow-out event is scheduled to be held Aug. 4-6 in Chicago's Grant Park. Lollapalooza co-founder Perry Farrell has on Thursday March 16th, 2006 announced the lineup tapped to perform at the fest.

Hughes of Deep Purple Goes Solo with Chili Peppers
November 29, 2005 01:11:44Following his fellow musicians, former Deep Purple singer/bassist Glenn Hughes is going solo. And for the sake of his next album, the veteran rocker reportedly has tapped Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith.
About his album Hughes revealed 12 of the 25 songs he has written would make it onto the album, which will be the "most varied" record of his career. "It's funk, rock, soul, and pop all mixed together in a big soup," he said.
RHCP Still Hot Despite Concert Relocation

Mainly because they're special, the band wants to give all the best for them, hence traffic, exits, and the heat are the particular things that make RHCP moves their concert, which supposedly to take place in the parking lot of the Las Vegas Convention Center just off the Strip, to the Sam Boyd Sports Complex, on Russell Road east of Boulder Highway.
The reason for the concert relocation is mainly to make fans attending the gig feel comfortable so that they can enjoy their idol performance. Though permit to hold the gig will still be discussed at Tuesdays county commission meeting, at least 50,000 people are expected for the concert which performers also include Weezer.

This incident, obviously, makes the officials become so furious because they indicate that there are people who want to take advantage of the situation. To note, those tickets are actually available to everybody for free because the centennial committee want to present the show, which is to mark the city's 100th anniversary, as a very special event.
RHCP & Weezer to Headline Las Vegas Celebration
