Zach Braff Feeds His Herds on the "Meadow"

Taking seat behind the desk, Zach Braff has come onboard to work on a script with his brother Adam J. Braff for drama adventure "Andrew Henry's Meadow" which will be produced under the 20th Century Fox banner, MTV has revealed.

While saying that filming on the project is expected to begin later this year, the "Scrubs" star, however, warned that he might not take any roles in the flick. "Maybe I'll give myself a cameo, but that's it," he insisted.

Former Supermodel Christie Brinkley Is Recovering from Back Surgery

Christie Brinkley, a former supermodel, was recuperating Wednesday Feb 28th at a Manhattan hospital from emergency back surgery as a result of sky injury.

"Last evening (Tuesday) Christie Brinkley underwent emergency back surgery," said publicist Marcia Horowitz. Brinkley hurt her back during a family ski trip December last year in Aspen, Colo. "and (it) worsened in the past few days," Horowitz added.

Prepare to have a look on real soldier in "John Rambo", folks as the filmmakers of the project reportedly has picked up one to play a brutal Burmese officer opposite our hero, played by none other than Sylvester Stallone.

Chosen from nearly 300 applicants who answered the casting call for a "Burmese male, 32-40, military-looking man, character face, unlikeable", Sai Mawng, so is the name of the lucky man, turns out to be an ex-guerrilla from the Shan State Army, which has been fighting for independence in the former Burma since 1948, the Shan Herald Agency for News noted.

Nicole Kidman is adding more into her acting resume as she reportedly is about to make a brief appearance in the FX cosmetic surgery drama "Nip/Tuck."

The Aussie actress has signed up for a cameo appearance on the popular series, joining the rest of the cast, including Dylan Walsh, Julian McMahon, John Hensley, and Joely Richardson.

Come Spend "Next Weekend at Bernies"

The list of upcoming film remakes of the '80s movies is submitting one more title in. Moviehole has reported that a new version of the 1989 comedy "Weekend at Bernie's" is on the move to come up to the surface.

Titled "Next Weekend at Bernies", the project is said to follow the same storyline as the first flick, except that it will be set at a ski lodge rather than a beach house. No word yet on either film crew and production schedule, but Ashok Amritraj and Jon Jashni have both been confirmed to produce for Hyde Park Entertainment and MGM.

Final Nominees for the 2007 CMT Music Awards

The final nominees for this year's CMT Music Awards have been announced Wednesday Feb 28th. Among them there are Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, and Carrie Underwood who are the leading nominees, with three nominations each.

As of Rascal Flatts, the American Country band vies for the categories of Video of the Year for "What Hurts the Most" and Group Video of the Year for "Life Is a Highway" and "What Hurts the Most". Chesney, in the meantime, is nominated for Video of the Year, Male Video of the Year, and Video Director of the Year all for "You Save Me".

Seems the development of "Planet One" will go just fine as HandMade Films Intl. has delightfully joined forces with Madrid-based Ilion Animation Studios to both finance and co-produce the CGI sci-fi comedy.

Made at $50 million budget, the flick is an alien invasion story about the inhabitants of Planet One who have two antennae and eight fingers and live in a world strangely akin to American suburbia of the 1950s with a persistent fear of alien invasion, which is fulfilled when a human astronaut lands in their midst.

The pair was seen visited Los Angeles jewelry store XIV Karats on Monday February 19th, with Richie was seen trying on several ruby necklaces before buying one for half-price at $3,350. Shortly after that, they began looking at the engagement rings, which were also in the sale.

Paris Hilton is just great, in the eyes of John Legend. The soul star revealed to Star magazine that he wants to record a duet with the socialite who has had her own album, "Paris".

The idea to do duet with the hotel heiress crossed the star's mind after he bought her single "Stars Are Blind". "I bought her single 'Stars are Blind'. I thought it was a great song and should have done better even than it did," Legend told the publication. "I'd do a song with her. It would be an interesting experience."

Weekend Billboard Album Charts of February 25, 2007

Norah Jones isn't easy to be beaten. The jazz pianist has her album "Not Too Late" debuts at No. 1 spot on the Billboard album charts for a third, non-consecutive week, moving 100,000 in the week ended Sunday Feb 25th. With that attainment, the set thus becoming the first album to score three weeks at No. 1 since the "Now 22" compilation last summer.

Next on the chart is DAUGHTRY's self titled debut album which climbs all the way from No. 9 to No. 2, with sales of 84,000 copies. Following in at No. 3 is Fall Out Boy's "Infinity on High", jumps two places from No. 5, taking in another 79,000 copies. The 11th installment of the popular "Kidz Bop," featuring covers of Kelly Clarkson's "Walk Away" and Beyonce Knowles' "Irreplaceable" by children, in the meantime, bows at #4 with 75,000.

Finally the leading actress for "Made of Honor" is found. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Michelle Monaghan has eagerly signed on to fill in the part, which thereby will pair her with "Grey's Anatomy" star Patrick Dempsey.

A production of Columbia Pictures, the rom-com flick finds Monaghan playing a woman named Claire, the longtime friend of Dempsey's character Tom whom she asks to be her 'maid' of honor for her wedding. The guy, who finally learns that she is actually the girl of his dream, reluctantly agrees -- only so he can try to stop the wedding and win her over before it's too late.

"It's so funny, because I've been saying 'Thank you, thank you' all week -- but no I'm not married," Ebanks told TMZ at a Victoria's Secret event Wednesday Feb 28th to launch the Secret Embrace bra line.
