A plane carrying David Copperfield was forced to make an emergency landing after strange noises were heard mid-flight. The terrifying incident happened while the magician was on his way from Las Vegas to New York City for Magic Monday on NBC's breakfast show, "Today".

"Emergency landing. Everyone is ok. Emergency landing in Peoria, Illinois. So scary," he tweeted in the early hours of March 4, adding that he heard "loud noise" coming from the plane. "Happy to be on the ground and safe. Getting ready for the @TodayShow on @NBC, filming remotely."

One Direction's members Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan join Red Nose Day's latest video campaign in Africa. The two spent a day with children who scavenge rubbish to make ends meet. The children wanted to go to school, but they had to work instead.

"This is their job. They find wires, they burn the wires, they get copper out of that, they sell the copper.. they make from 70 pence a day to three pounds at the most," Horan narrated.

"Downton Abbey" has cast Welsh actor Tom Cullen, 27, as a young aristocrat named Lord Gillingham who attempts to mend Lady Mary's broken heart. The character is described as an old family friend of the Crawleys who has known Lady Mary since childhood.

Cullen, who won Most Promising Newcomer award at the British Independent Film Awards in 2011 for his brilliant performance in "Weekend", confirms the news himself on Twitter. In the tweet, he was excited at the thought of him being cast in the forthcoming new season of the period drama series. He tweeted, "I can announce that I'm in the new season four of Downton Abbey. So excited. My heart is beating a little too fast..."

Welsh singer-songwriter Marina Diamandis, more popularly known by her stage name Marina and the Diamonds, has released the music video for her track "The State of Dreaming". The song, co-written by Diamandis and produced by Rick Nowels and Devrim Karaoglu, is a cut off her sophomore album "Electra Heart" and was posted on her own YouTube channel as part 9 of her Electra Heart video series.

In the clip, Diamandis performs on a simple backdrop of pillars and drapes, with the video starting out as black-and-white before changing into a multi-colored visual midway into the song just as the hook is played. Towards the end, it returns to its monochromatic look.

Ocean City police confirmed on Friday, March 1 that two arrest warrants were issued in 2012 for Melissa King. The former beauty queen who has just given up her crown amid her sex video scandal failed to appear in court on citations for theft and underage possession of alcohol.

Authorities said King was cited last June for allegedly stealing money from a city bus fare box. She was cited in August on the alcohol charge. She failed to appear in court to deal with either of them, so a warrant in the theft case was issued in August, followed by an October warrant on the alcohol charge.

A representative of gay advocacy group GLAAD confirms that Madonna has been chosen to present CNN's host Anderson Cooper with the Vito Russo Award at the 24th annual GLAAD Media Awards. This award, named after the legendary HIV/AIDS activist and author of the book "The Celluloid Closet" Vito Russo, is annually given to openly gay, lesbian, or transgender media figure who has great contribution in promoting equality, and Cooper is deemed qualified to receive the prize this year.

The specific pick of Madonna to deliver the award does not go without reason. GLAAD President Herndon Graddick says that Madonna is perfect to take the duty because she and Cooper are longtime friends who have actively shown their support for lesbian, gay and transgender people in their careers. "Madonna has been a passionate spokesperson and longtime supporter of gay rights. She has embraced LGBT people around the world on many occasions," says Graddick. "From speaking out against bullying to raising support for marriage equality, Madonna has always been one of our community's strongest allies. As soon as "The Celebrity Apprentice" kicked off its All-Star edition, one potential strong contender was kicked out. There's a major scoop coming from "Justice League". According Latino-Review's El Mayimbe, "The Dark Knight" helmer Christopher Nolan will be producing the long-delayed project with Christian Bale possibly reprising his role as the Caped Crusader and Zack Snyder serving as the director.

"So like with Man of Steel, [Nolan's] going to be involved with godfathering/producing while Zack Snyder will be co-producing and will possibly be the director," the publication reports. "They're shaping this as a vehicle for Christian Bale to reprise his role as Batman and join Henry Cavill's Superman in the Justice League movie."

Jay Leno might end his stint as "The Tonight Show" host in 2014. Reports spread like wild fire that NBC will announce in May that the 2013-2014 television season will be the last for the veteran host as the network is said to be eyeing younger comedian Jimmy Fallon to take over the spot currently vacated by Leno, planning a soft launch in the summer of 2014 before a formal kick-off in the fall.

According to the sources, with ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" attracting more and more younger audiences at the coveted 11:35 P.M. time slot, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" is looking to be an apt replacement when Leno finally ends his late-night hosting stint.

The first installment in Peter Jackson's trilogy adaption of the J.R.R. Tolkien novel has collected $301.1 million domestically and $700 million internationally since it was released on December 14, 2012. The epic fantasy adventure movie becomes the 15th movie to ever cross the mark.

G.O.O.D Music label mogul Kanye West reportedly plans to move to Paris for two months to work on his new album and launch his fashion line there. The 35-year-old father-to-be will be travelling with pregnant girflfriend Kim Kardashian to the city mentioned in his Grammy Award-winning song featuring pal and fellow hip-hop superstar Jay-Z, "Ni**as in Paris".

"Kanye loves the city's creative vibe and has decided to be based there for a few months so he can work on his music and fashion line," an unnamed source revealed. West's love for the world's fashion capital was already evident in his participation last year in the Paris Fashion week and more recently, the pair's appearance on the cover of French magazine L'Officiel Hommes.

Jamie Lynn Spears announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend James Watson on Sunday, March 3. The actress posted a picture of her and her new fiance on Instagram and wrote excitedly, "Guess what????" Shortly after, she posted another picture which showed a huge diamond ring, along with a caption, ":) #hedidgood."

In an interview with New York Post in January, James said that his romantic relationship with Jamie Lynn was "going really great." He previously bought a ring for Jamie, but insisted that it was nothing more than a birthday present. "I think promise rings are dumb. And Jamie Lynn doesn't care that much. She's not too picky," said James.

How Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer's baby twins looked like was revealed, five months after they were born. The newborns were caught on camera when the parents took their bundles of joy during a sunny day in California over the weekend.

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" has added French actor Omar Sy, who starred in "The Intouchables", to its cast. On Saturday, March 2, director Bryan Singer broke the news on Twitter. "Thrilled to welcome the brilliant #OmarSy from the amazing film #TheIntouchables to the cast of #Xmen #DaysofFuturePast!" he tweeted.

There's still no word on what character is going to be played by Sy. The 35-year-old actor joins Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page and Anna Paquin who are already on board to reprise their roles.

Brit Award-winning pop-rock singer Dido debuts the new music video for her latest single "No Freedom" off her forthcoming album "Girl Who Got Away". The track is the lead and second single from the said album, her fourth studio effort set to be released March 4. The new album follows up her 2008 recording "Safe Trip Home".

The approximately three-minute clip shows Dido singing to her love interest while a grand parade is going on outside their building. Some home video footage of a parade is inserted in the clip and a solitary Dido singing to the camera in a light blue top as confetti falls on her.

"America's Got Talent" might feature a fourth judge when it debuts the new season this coming summer. The Hollywood Reporter confirms TMZ's scoop that Heidi Klum has agreed to join the NBC reality show as a new addition to the judge lineup. The arrival of the German-born model on the judging panel is quite surprising as people have assumed that the new season of the show would start with the same three-judge concept.

Rumors about Klum becoming the judge on the show began swirling after an on-set photo of "AGT" filming in New Orleans showed the name "Heidi" was labeled on one of the judging chairs alongside Howie Mandel, Howard Stern and the new replacement of Sharon Osbourne, Melanie Brown.

"We don't get precious with the answers," he said, claiming that the second half of the season would have a much quicker pace than the first half. "We find that [the cause of the blackout] out in episode 13 (airing April 8)."

The Kevin Hart-hosted episode of popular variety show "Saturday Night Live showcased two sets of 'dynamic duos' on Saturday, March 2. Electronic dance music act Daft Punk dropped a very short 15-second trailer on their new music while the rap pair of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis served as the night's musical guest performers.

Daft Punk premiered their new music by way of a brief teaser that featured a sparkling Daft Punk logo and the famous pair's robot masks. A sampling of what seems to be their new disco-tinged track played as accompanying audio to the simple yet eye-catching visuals.

Justin Bieber broke silence after his "worst birthday" tweet which was reportedly caused by a confrontation with security guards at Cirque du Soir. The singer who turned 19 years old on March 1 denied rumors that he threw a fit because his friends including Jaden Smith were denied entry to the London club where he celebrated his turning age.

"The funny moment when people believe I brought underage people to a club.. U think Will [Smith] is letting his 14 year old [son Jaden Smith] in a club, I don't think so," he wrote on Instagram. "2nd I love how the club wanted to give the press another reason to why we didn't stay at their weak a** club so they wouldn't look bad for me walking in and right back out."

Queen Elizabeth II was hospitalized on Sunday, March 3. Buckingham Palace spokesperson said that the queen experienced symptoms of gastroenteritis and was being examined at London's King Edward VII Hospital.

"As a precaution, all official engagements for this week will regrettably be either postponed or canceled," the palace said in a statement. The canceled official engagements include a two-day visit to Rome which was scheduled to start this Wednesday.

An album of unreleased songs by iconic rocker Jimi Hendrix will be released more than four decades after his untimely death from an accidental drug overdose in London in September 1970 at the young age of 27. Entitled "People, Hell and Angels", the new album will contain 12 tracks and will be released in a couple of days on March 5.

The tracks included in the new compilation were actually done by the late Hendrix, as recorded by his sound engineer Eddie Kramer, beginning in 1968 as a follow-up to his "Electric Ladyland" album but were never officially released, until now. A preview of the entire album can now be streamed online.

Bobby Rogers, the notable member of Motown Records' The Miracles that was formed in the mid-1950s with Smokey Robinson, has died in Detroit, at the age of 73. Allen Rawls, Motown Museum board member, said that Bobby died about 6 A.M. on Sunday, March 3, in Southfield after suffering from an undisclosed illness for several years.

Close friends and family expressed their overwhelming grief over the death of the grandfather of Blaque's singer Brandi Williams. "Another soldier in my life has fallen. Bobby Rogers was my brother and a really good friend," Smokey said. "He and I were born on the exact same day in the same hospital in Detroit. I am really going to miss him. I loved him very much."

Conversation between AEG Live executives and director Kenny Ortega via emails was revealed as a judge unsealed documents in the Michael Jackson wrongful death lawsuit filed by the star's mother and three children. The emails suggested that bosses at the concert promoter giant were worried about MJ's missed rehearsals of his "This Is It" concert series and wanted Dr. Conrad Murray to fix the problem.

While a lawyer for AEG Live insisted that the disgraced cardiologist was not employed by the company, an email sent by co-CEO Paul Gongaware to concert director Ortega 11 days before the King of Pop died suggested otherwise. "We want to remind (Murray) that it is AEG, not MJ, who is paying his salary. We want to remind him what is expected of him," the executive allegedly wrote.

"Jack the Giant Slayer" claims the throne at the North American box office on another slow weekend. The fantasy drama film easily tops the chart with a modest haul of $27.2 million, marking the first underwhelming start for a so-called tentpole film in 2013.

With a reported $190 million production budget, the opening number is far below expectation. The movie's performance already draws comparison to last year's box office flops "Battleship" and "John Carter".
