Reese Witherspoon may be singing professionally in the near future. The Oscar-winning actress, who gave birth to her third child last month, reportedly is in talks to record a duet with Canadian singer Michael Buble, a source told Us Weekly.

Witherspoon has actually displayed a skill in singing when starring in "Walk the Line" in which she won an Oscar as country singer June Carter. She did training and voice lessons to prepare for the role, calling the experience "the most challenging, horrifying experience of [her] life."

Lady GaGa Inspires Fern Names Due to Her Diversity

Lady GaGa has inspired botanists to name a new genus of ferns after her. The plant experts at Duke University thought the "Born This Way" singer has "fervent defense of equality and individual expression" that match characteristics of the 19 species within the genus.

Kathleen Pryer, director of Duke's herbarium and professor of biology, said, "We've been doing a lot of molecular sequencing, looking at a lot of plant material, doing a lot of field work, so we're now at the point where we're concluding some of the work, and we have enough evidence to be able to look at all the data and say, 'Hmmm, there's this group here that is really in the wrong genus. ... We need to give it a new name."

Rick Worthy is confirmed to play the role of Rudy Hopkins, the estranged father of Bonnie Bennett (played by actress Katerina Graham), on the CW hit TV series "The Vampire Diaries". His character is expected to make the appearance on episode 10, the first episode after the holiday break.

This is a new project for the "Star Trek" veteran, but he is certainly not new in playing the role of lead vampire with personal conflicts to deal with other than worrying where to get the next meal. He has been playing recurring roles as Alpha Vamp on the long-running horror/fantasy series "Supernatural", also under The CW. Worthy is also known for his work on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "Heroes".

Sean "P. Diddy" Comb was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles Wednesday, October 24 around 1:05 P.M. The westbound Cadillac Escalade he rode collided with an eastbound car that attempted to turn left in front of his black SUV.

Cops were called to the scene. Diddy, his driver and the other driver complained of pain after the crash. An ambulance was called for precaution, but no one was sent to hospital. A traffic collision report was taken and no citations were issued.

Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson's parents, Joe and Tina Simpson, are divorcing after 34 years of marriage. Tina filed the papers in McLennan County, Texas on September 24, a month following his arrest for Driving Under the Influence. She cited "discord or conflict of personalities" as reason of split.

"Tina and Joe Simpson have filed for divorce," a family representative said in a statement. "It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved. Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time."

Johnny Depp to Star in Secretly-Guarded 'Transcendence'

Johnny Depp could be joining one of the biggest movie projects next year. The actor is in negotiations to star in "Transcendence", which is the directorial debut of Oscar-winning cinematographer Wally Pfister and may be the starring vehicle for such actors as Christoph Waltz, James McAvoy, Tobey Maguire and Noomi Rapace among others.

The plot of "Transcendence" is being kept under wrap, therefore there is no clue what kind of character Depp will play. The screenplay was written by newcomer Jack Paglen and was developed by Straight Up Films' Annie Marter, who will produce the movie alongside Marisa Polvino, Kate Cohen, David Valdes and Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove of Alcon Entertainment.

Rep: Lindsay Lohan Did NOT Steal Clothing From 'Scary Movie 5' Set

Lindsay Lohan could be in for another legal trouble but her spokesman stopped the rumor before it spreads out like wildfire. Steve Honig denied that his client has stolen $15,000 worth of clothing from the set of her new film, "Scary Movie 5", telling Mail Online "This is pure National Enquirer fiction."

Enquirer got its story from a set insider who said Lohan took "nice tops and skirts" from the Atlanta set last month. "I guess Lindsay thought she was entitled to it, like free soap at a hotel. All the other actors knew about it, but the producers just put it down to the price you had to pay for doing business with Lindsay," the source said.

Bobby Brown Arrested for Second DUI This Year

Less than two months after his representative said he was "in a good place" with his battle against alcohol addiction, Bobby Brown was arrested for DUI. The ex-husband of Whitney Houston was pulled over on Wednesday, October 24 morning after failing sobriety test and taken to jail.

Cops said Brown was flagged four miles from his Encino house at around 1 A.M. "He was pulled over for a traffic violation and based on the officer's observations, he was arrested and booked for driving under the influence," Sgt. Pablo Monterrosa of the Los Angeles Police Department told the Daily News, adding "He failed a combination of the field sobriety test and the breathalyzer. It sounds like he was cooperative."
