New Promo of 'The River' Premiere Episode Is Full of Mystery

"The River" is not premiered until February 2012, but ABC has unleashed a promo for the first episode. Though short in term of time, it manages to bring forward the mysterious atmosphere as it sees some supernatural things such as a man walking on the water and a girl with a creepy face.

Coming from "Paranormal Activity" creator Oren Peli, the new thriller series follows a group of family, friends and crew who set out on a mysterious and deadly journey to find wildlife expert and TV personality Emmet Cole (Bruce Greenwood) who went missing in the uncharted Amazon. To fund the rescue, they agree to let Dr. Cole's cagey ex-producer Clark (Paul Blackthorne) film the mission documentary-style.

AMAs 2011: Live Performances by Enrique Iglesias and Kelly Clarkson

Enrique Iglesias continued the celebration of 2011 American Music Awards by pumping up the crowd with feel-good song "I Like How It Feels". He brought a children choir to the stage and created arousing harmony with feet-stomping and drum-smacking sound. Next, he delivered a kid-friendly version of "Tonight (I'm F**king You)" with Ludacris in a laser-beamed set.

Earlier in the November 20 evening, Kelly Clarkson took the crowd to the 20s with her old-schooled theme performance of "Mr. Know It All". Donning a red long dress and wearing her hair in soft curls, she sang the single in front of her "wall of doubt" which was filled with newspaper clippings. She was surrounded by some guys posing as paparazzi.

'Tomb Raider' Reboot to Focus on Young Lara Croft and Present More Actions

Graham King has revealed more plot details of his upcoming "Tomb Raider" reboot. Speaking to Coming Soon, he explained that the new reboot will mainly center on young Lara Croft. "Listen, the box office, they weren't disasters but I find it interesting that the story that we're telling is really the story before she became Lara Croft, so it is a character piece," the 49-year-old producer said.

King additionally guaranteed that the upcoming movie will have a lot of actions and will be different from the previous ones. "It does have a lot of really great characters, but it's a lot of action and a lot of fun, and for me, it's something very different," so he claimed. The British producer added, "I've not really done a movie like that before. But I really gravitated to rebooting this franchise and we're going to give it a shot."

George Clooney Recovering From Elbow Surgery

George Clooney is recovering from an elbow surgery. The Governor Mike Morris of "The Ides of March" sported a brace and sling when he came to M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, November 20 afternoon to watch the match between Baltimore Ravens and Cincinatti Bengals.

Clooney's current girlfriend, Stacy Keibler, revealed that the Hollywood hunk had the surgery two days prior. "You kno its love when your boyfriend has elbow surgery 2 days ago and takes u to a #ravens game...especially when he's a Bengals fan," so she wrote on her Twitter account.

The long played-out romance between Castle and Beckett is definitely happening. Female lead Stana Katic has revealed that a sniper case in the Monday, November 21 episode of ABC's drama series "Castle" will bring the crime-solving duo a step closer to a romantic relationship.

When a sniper on a killing spree is terrorizing New York City, Beckett will be faced with memories of her getting shot. This will send Beckett into a downward spiral as Katic said, "It's the first time she's in a space of pure fear, and it's unusual for her and she doesn't know how to handle it."

Report: Lady GaGa Makes Secret Visit to Amy Winehouse's Home

Lady GaGa has secretly visited Amy Winehouse's home, if The Sun is to be trusted. According to the British tabloid, the Mother Monster went to the Camden, North London house of the late "Rehab" singer "in disguise" to "pay respect to a musical hero." She reportedly "kept things low key."

It is still unclear whether GaGa indeed made the secret visit, but the "Born This Way" hitmaker was recently in London to promote her latest single "Marry the Night". She stopped by Alan Carr's "Chatty Man" show to perform the number last Wednesday, November 16. "At Alan Carr! There's a piano here, hmmm," she tweeted at the time. "Maybe an impromptu performance?"

Asa Butterfield tries to master a card trick in a new clip for "Hugo". In the snippet, young actor's titular character learns basic magic trick using a deck of card from an oldman, and shows off his ability to pull a card without touching it to a silent robot that he treats like another living human being.

Hugo is an orphan who lives inside the wall of a busy train station in Paris. He spends his days to unlock a secret left to him by his late father. With the help from an eccentric girl named Isabelle, he embarks on an adventure to solve the mystery.

AMAs 2011: Chris Brown Goes Futuristic, Justin Bieber Gets Festive

"Next 2 You" collaborators Chris Brown and Justin Bieber both took the stage at Nokia Theater on November 20 for 2011 American Music Awards, but they performed separately. Breezy was introduced by rapper 50 Cent, while Bieber was invited to take the mic by his homie Sean Kingston.

Breezy started his performance by singing ballad track "All Back" before turning up the beat in club-ready song "Say It With Me". The R&B singer simply stood in the center stage when singing the latter song, but he busted a move with some backing dancers in a futuristic set when delivering the former song.

A production promo of "Game of Thrones" season 2 has been debuted before the airing of the Sunday, November 20 episode of "Boardwalk Empire". Sharing a look at behind the scenes of the principal photography, the video offers brief scenes from the new chapter.

Major characters including Jaime Lannister, Jon Snow and Daenerys are seen taking part in the shooting, and so are new faces such as Melisandre who is played by Carice van Houten. Meanwhile, the show's executive producers, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, are sharing the challenges they face to make the second season.

In addition to Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez and Maroon 5 were also musical guests who wowed the audience of 2011 American Music Awards. The former performed a medley of "Until It Beats No More" / "Papi" / "On the Floor" with Pitbull as a special guest, while the latter delivered "Moves Like Jagger" with Christina Aguilera.

J.Lo kicked off her set by crooning "Beats No More" and got a little hiccup before the music stopped entirely. It needs only three years for The Band Perry to reach stardom after being signed to Republic Nashville. Discovered by Garth Brooks' manager Bob Doyle in 2008, Kimberly Perry, Neil Perry and Reid Perry released their debut single "Hip to My Heart" in 2009 and climbed Billboard Country Songs to a peak position at No. 20.

Having a decent start with the Nathan Chapman-produced song, this sibling band continued busting the chart by reaching a higher spot. Through their second single "If I Die Young" which came out in the following year, they ruled Billboard Country Songs and Adult Contemporary, and additionally peaked at No. 4 on Adult Pop Songs.

The trailers for two highly anticipated movies are likely to be dropped in a foreseeable future. Variety's Jeff Sneider has broken the news that the much awaited new trailer for "The Dark Knight Rises" and the first teaser trailer for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" might be attached to "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows", which will open in the U.S. on December 16.

Taking to his Twitter on Sunday, November 20, Sneider shared, "Expect to see THE DARK KNIGHT RISES trailer in front of SHERLOCK HOLMES 2... And MAYBE even a HOBBIT teaser."

'Skyfall' Scribe: The New Bond Film Is Not a Standalone

"Skyfall" is already in the production stage, but major details of the movie are still kept under wraps. Screenwriter John Logan recently opened up to Collider about his approach to the latest James Bond film, denying that the upcoming film will be a standalone as it was rumored before.

"It has nothing to do with being a standalone film, as far as I'm concerned, because I don't think these films are standalone, I think they're part of a legacy," said Logan. "When I was working on it I was deeply aware as much of 'Quantum of Solace' and 'Casino Royale' as I was of 'Thunderball', as I was of Ian Fleming in the 50s' writing it, you know you're a float in a parade."

The ninth leg of "The Amazing Race" season 19 gave a big surprise to all contestants. Ernie and Cindy, who won in the previous leg, departed first for the challenge that still took place in Denmark. After memorizing the poem, the contestants must use a map on a provided bicycle's wheel to ride themselves to the Theater Museum in the Court where they must recite the poem in a dramatic reading. Cindy nailed it on the first try.

'Breaking Dawn I' Storms Box Office With Massive Domestic Gross

"The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part I" successfully takes over the champion title in North American box office, grossing $138.1 million on its debut weekend. Though it is named the fifth best opening weekend of all-time, the movie couldn't break the $142.8 record of "The Twilight Saga's New Moon", which opened in U.S. theaters on the same weekend two years ago.

Summit Entertainment president Richie Fay says, "We faced the weekend with some trepidation because you don't really know on a fourth installment whether you are going to maintain the interest of your audience." He continues, "The numbers seen to speak for themselves. We got as close to 'New Moon' as we could."

'Gossip Girl' Cast Dish on Blair's Wedding, Bosses Hope for Another Season

The cast and crew of "Gossip Girl" have just celebrated the 100th episode of the show at a party on Saturday, November 19. Margaret Colin, who plays Blair's mom, assured that fans will definitely see the Queen B walking down the aisle, although executive producer Joshua Safran teased that it could be just a dream. Meanwhile, Matthew Settle confirmed Georgina would be a "wedding crasher" when she returns just in time for the royal wedding, and she would cause "epic" trouble.

Robin Gibb Has Been Diagnosed With Liver Cancer for Months

Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees is battling liver cancer, it has been revealed. The 61-year-old was rushed to the hospital last Tuesday, November 15 after a 911 call from his mansion home in Oxfordshire, central England. He has since been allowed back home.

The cancer news was delivered to him several months ago and he has canceled performing commitments since. Last month, he was admitted to Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for severe abdominal pain. He was discharged after four days and said that he was "feeling great". Last year, he had part of his intestine removed in an emergency procedure after suffering blockage similar to that which killed his brother Maurice Gibb.
