Soulja Boy 'Sorry' for Rapping 'F**k the Troops'

Soulja Boy regrets the words coming out of his song which lyrics undermine U.S. military. After upsetting a number of parties for saying "F**k the troops" in his new rap video, the rapper posted a long apology letter on GlobalGrind.com, titled "I Am Deeply Sorry To All Members Of The United States Military Services And Their Families."

"As an artist, I let my words get the best of me," Soulja began his letter. "Sometimes there are things that we feel, things that we want to express, and when we put them on paper and speak them out loud, they can come out wrong. When I expressed my frustration with the US Army, not only did my words come out wrong, I was wrong to even speak them."

Ashton Kutcher to Read Letterman's List From 'Two and a Half Men' Set

Ashton Kutcher will begin self-promoting his stint on "Two and a Half Men" by appearing on "Late Show with David Letterman" on Thursday, September 8. The show's new star would read a Top Ten List directly via satellite from the Los Angeles set of "Two and a Half Men".

It was not announced what kind of theme would make the list, but a reference to Charlie Sheen is highly-expected. Playing an Internet billionaire, Kutcher replaces Sheen as one of the sitcom's lead stars starting September 19. On the same night, a Sheen roast would air on Comedy Central.

Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton Top 2011 CMA Awards Nominees List

The 45th annual Country Music Awards has put four artists in tight competition. In a newly-released nomination list, it is revealed that Taylor Swift and three boys; Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton, have scored five nominations each.

These foursome will compete against each other in the category of Entertainer of the Year along with Keith Urban. For Aldean and Shelton, this is the first time that they have been submitted under the coveted category. Meanwhile, Swift, Urban and Paisley have each won the entertainer prize before.

Katy Perry took some time in between her hectic schedule to record a video tribute for one of her idols Freddie Mercury. The "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)" hitmaker sang an acoustic rendition of Happy Birthday to the late musician and thanked him for inspiring her to become a singer.

"Happy 65th birthday Freddie, we love you so much," she said. "Even though you're gone, you're not really gone - you've inspired us all and you inspired me especially. Without you I wouldn't be making music or doing what I do because you're lyrics inspired me as a 15 year old girl. I heard 'Killer Queen' and I wanted to be a killer queen!"

'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy' Stars Suit Up for Venice Film Festival Premiere

Another day, another film is being premiered at the 68th Venice Film Festival. On Monday, September 5, the stars of "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" hit the red carpet at the Palazzo del Cinema in support of the thriller movie, and most of them looked dapper in their black-and-white tuxedo.

Among the cast members present were leading men Colin Firth and Gary Oldman. Both opted to suit up complete with a bow tie, and brought along their wives. Colin was accompanied by filmmaker Livia Giuggioli, while Gary had singer Alexandra Edenborough by his side.

"Torchwood: Miracle Day" season finale is promised to provide the answers to questions, including "What is The Blessing?" and "Why is Jack's blood so very important?", but that will not be without drama. As seen in new previews for the upcoming episode, some characters such as Gwen and Jack speak in teary eyes, probably for having to make hard decision.

Gwen, at one point, is also seen saying that the day has come for her to kill someone, while at another scene she is featured pointing a gun to Jack. Torchwood team launch a final, desperate mission against the seemingly undefeatable Three Families and they realize it may come down to the ultimate sacrifice.

Guy Ritchie Becomes a Father to Baby Boy

Guy Ritchie has welcomed the arrival of another son. Daily Mirror reported that Jacqui Ainsley, the girlfriend of the "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" director, delivered the healthy baby boy through an emergency cesarean section at a London hospital at 11 A.M. on Monday, September 4.

According to the tabloid, the 42-year-old filmmaker has informed his ex-wife Madonna about the birth of his baby, but he and Jacqui have yet to decide on a name. A source, meanwhile, told The Sun, "Guy couldn't be prouder. He and Jacqui have spent months getting ready and can't wait to take the baby home."

'The Help' Stays Atop Box Office on Labor Day With Additional $4 Million

Topping the North American Box Office on Labor Day weekend, "The Help" easily maintained its position on Monday, September 4. The Tate Taylor-directed movie grossed an estimated $19 million over the four-day frame or added about $4.4 million on the fourth day.

Newcomers "The Debt", "Apollo 18" and "Shark Night 3D" stayed still on the second, third and fourth place with $12.5 million, $10.7 million and $10.3 million respectively during the four-day holiday. "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" was placed fifth with additional $10.2 million.

MDA Telethon Posts Best Gain Since 2008 Without Jerry Lewis

The Muscular Dystrophy Association telethon has received its best showing since the recession started in 2008 despite people's dissapointment about Jerry Lewis' retirement from the program. The Sunday (September 4) show, aired on more than 150 stations across the nation, earned nearly $61.5 million, MDA officials said.

This year's gain showed an increase of about $2.6 million over last year while the fundraiser event, which was staged at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada, was shortened from 21.5 hours to six hours. Serving as the hosts were Nigel Lythgoe, Nancy O'Dell, Jann Carl and Alison Sweeney, while the likes of Jordin Sparks, Billy Ray Cyrus, Richie Sambora, Lady Antebellum, Celine Dion and Jennifer Lopez made appearances.
