Chilean Miners' Story Officially Picked Up for Movie

The movie industry is still seeing a huge potential in the real story of Chilean miners. The 33 mine workers who were trapped underground for 69 days last year have all agreed to keep the story of what happened during that time a secret until a buyer is found.

"One year after the collapse of the mine, we consider this to be a great step towards the realization of a film based on our experience in the mine. This is the only official and authorized film about what we lived in the San Jose mine," said miner Juan Andres Illanes. "Much of our story has never been told."

Family Speaks in Front of Amy Winehouse's House

Dad Mitch, mom Janis and older brother Alex arrived in London a day after their beloved Amy Winehouse died. Mitch, who had encouraged his daughter to get help numerous times, addressed the crowd of fans, reporters and photographers who have gathered outside the jazz singer's home.

"We're devastated and I am speechless. Amy was about one thing and that was love. Her whole life was devoted to her family and friends and to you guys as well," Mitch said. He was seen wiping tears as he exited the house while mom Janis cried when reading the notes Amy's fans have left for her under the tree in front of the house.

Three More New Clips From 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' Unleashed

20th Century Fox has unleashed three new clips from "Rise of the Planet of the Apes". All three videos give a closer look at the scenes where Caesar and his army of apes launch their attack on San Francisco with one of the clips previewing the moment the apes break out from their cages.

Two other clips offer sneak peeks at the apes' organized invasion. The one titled "San Francisco Rampage" sees the apes attacking the police and destroying their cars, while the other one called "Mounted Attack" displays the apes flocking the Golden Gate Bridge and assaulting mounted police before James Francos's Will Rodman calls out Caesar's name.

First Trailer for 'The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra' Hits the Web

After being premiered at San Diego Comic Con on Saturday, July 23, the first trailer for "The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra" has finally landed online. It opens with Korra leaving her home in the Southern Water Tribe and making her way to the United Republic.

A flying bison and a statue of grown-up Aang are also seen in the opening scenes which boast the beautiful landscape. Featuring almost no dialogs, the trailer then sees Korra showing off her skill in some battle scenes.

Kanye West and Jay-Z's 'Otis' Approved by Otis Redding's Daughter

Kanye West and Jay-Z's take on Otis Redding's classic "Try a Little Tenderness" has got a blessing from the late singer's daughter Karla Redding-Andrews. "To have two current, legendary artists use the legendary music of Otis Redding-we were quite honored," she told Billoard recently.

"We first heard about the song in early July, end of June," she recalled. "Concord Music Group has the masters and Bill Belmont and Michele Smith from Concord brought it to us. There was a back and forth about whether the name of the song would be 'Otis' or 'Otis Redding'. And we just wanted to make sure lyrics and references in the song worked with the legacy of my father."

An eyewitness told Hollywood Life, "Justin and Selena were just adorable when they celebrated her birthday at Geisha House on Friday night. They seemed really happy and totally in love." The source went on to share, "While they were eating dinner, Justin fed her a Hollywood sushi roll, which is a roll with crab, avocado and tempura cucumber."

Sporting new blond hair, the wife of comedian Russell Brand completed her chic look with blue pumps and painted each of her perfectly-manicured nails with Smurf characters. She was all smiles when walking down the blue carpet, posing for awaiting photographers and fans before entering the venue for the screening.

Report: 'Dancing with the Stars' Wants More 'High Profile' Celebs

There may be no room for "D-listers" in upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars". According to TMZ, producers are in the hunt for more "high profile" stars after casting the likes of The Situation, Kate Gosselin, Audrina Patridge, Jake Pavelka and Holly Madison in the past seasons.

To get A-listers, compromise is reportedly made with some of the rules. The producers allegedly offer high profile celebs complete control over their rehearsal schedule, which means they can practice as much or as little as they want. Moreover, they may have final say on music selections and costume design.

John Barrowman has drawn one of the loudest cheers at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Joining the panel of TV Guide Presents Super Supernaturals last Saturday, July 23, the actor famous as Captain Jack Harkness on "Torchwood" surprised those who gathered by kissing a male fan.

Near the end of the panel, the 44-year-old actor took the podium to sing "Happy Birthday" to a fan dressed in his Captain Jack's costume. He then got off the stage and planted a wet one on the fan, making the whole room erupt in cheers. After he returned to his seat, he joked, "Please don't have herpes."

Comic-Con 2011: 'Sons of Anarchy' Spoilers and Opening Scene

One of highlighted TV events on the final day of San Diego Comic Con 2011 was a panel for "Sons of Anarchy". Attended by stars Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman and Katey Sagal as well as creator Kurt Sutter, the Sunday (July 24) event presented the first four minutes of the prologue for season 4, which is kicked off with the guys of SAMCRO getting out of jail.

During the 14 months he spent in jail, Jax was "doing some intense soul-searching," which will ultimately create "a challenge for him and some difficult decisions have to be made," so Hunnam explained. Meanwhile, on Jax and Tara's relationship, Sutter teased, "There's a deeper commitment to family than ever before. I would characterize that relationship as more important to him."

First Look at Gerard Butler in 'Machine Gun Preacher'

A first look at Gerard Butler in an upcoming Marc Foster-directed action biopic film, "Machine Gun Preacher", has been unveiled. The photo sees Buttler as Sam Childers, a man who dedicates his life to rescue children who are kidnapped to become child soldiers in Sudan war zone.

Comparing Childers with other characters he's ever played in a movie, Butler told USA Today, "Those other roles were based on historic who became the stuff of legend, but Sam is a guy of our times." He continued, "There is more complexity in a modern-day character who's a drug addict and a biker turned businessman, missionary and soldier. You don't get roles like this very often."

Bill's jealousy may lead to Eric's demise. In a preview for the next episode of "True Blood", the on-and-off lover of Sookie storms into her house, possibly when she and Eric are making out, and punches him in the face. Sookie pleads for Eric's safety, but Bill ignores it.

In a conversation with Nan, Bill recommends Eric's true death, reasoning that the vampire sheriff has been infected. But Eric is seemingly not against his king's will as he says, "I don't expect mercy," when Bill is ready to do the execution.

One "American Idol" alum is facing bizarre allegation. It was uncovered recently that a promoter has filed a police report against Bucky Covington, accusing him of stealing $1,500. The country singer, who finished eighth on season 5 of the talent show, however denied the insinuation.

According to TMZ, the 33-year-old singer was hired to perform at the Iron Horse Saloon in Ormond Beach, Florida on June 30 for a July 4 NASCAR race week celebration. But, when the promoter was rushed to a nearby hospital due to chest pains, he allegedly told his brother and his brother's wife to pocket money from the cash register.

First Look at Hulk of 'The Avengers' Unveiled in Official Concept Art Poster

Just when San Diego Comic Con is about to be wrapped up, Marvel unleashed a new poster for "The Avengers" which gives the first look at the Hulk. The image gives a close look at the alter ego of Mark Ruffalo's character when he is overwhelmed with anger, with a silhoutte of Bruce Banner on the background.

The individual poster of the Hulk completes the final concept art image which gathers other superheroes, including Black Widow, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye as well as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents, in the upcoming movie. The posters are available at the Marvel Booth at the Comic Con on Sunday, July 24 only.

Two of The CW's supernatural series, "Supernatural" and "The Vampire Diaries", were heading to San Diego Comic Con over the weekend. Featuring Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, the panel for "Supernatural" on Sunday, July 24 presented a clip from the upcoming seventh season.

Taken from the third episode which is directed by Ackles, the clip is described by the Dean depicter as "a little slice of life back into Sam's past." It focuses on Padalecki's character and his old childhood friend played by guest star Jewel Staite. Sam is seen promising to drop the knife he brings in return of Staite's character showing what is behind a secret door.

Rep: Amy Winehouse Found Dead 'Alone in Bed' by Security Guard

New details regarding the tragic passing of Amy Winehouse have been shared. Chris Goodman, a representative for Amy, has just confirmed that the "Back to Black" singer was discovered dead in her bed on Saturday, July 23 by a security guard who had been appointed to look after her.

"She was in her bedroom after saying she wanted to sleep and when he went to wake her he found she wasn't breathing," Chris informed TMZ. "He called the emergency services straight away. He was very shocked. At this stage no one knows how she died. She died alone in bed."

'Captain America' Conquers Box Office, Knocks Off 'Deathly Hallows 2'

"Captain America: The First Avenger" has broken the spell of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II". The Chris Evans-starring superhero movie, which budgeted at $140 million, bows at No. 1 on North American Box Office, pushing aside the Daniel Radcliffe-starring boy wizard film.

"Captain America" rakes in a total of $65.8 million in its first three days, attracting mostly male moviegoers (64%) over the age of 25 (58%). The sale number is on par with those of the previous superhero releases, "Thor" ($65.7 million) and "X-Men: First Class" ($55.1 million). It becomes the 48th largest opening for a comic book adapted film.

Comic-Con 2011: Rachel, Finn, Kurt Are Still in 'Glee' After Season 3

Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer are not leaving "Glee" after season 3. Contrary to Ryan Murphy's statement that the three regulars are "not going to be back at all" for season 4, executive producer Brad Falchuk said at the Comic Con panel on Sunday, July 24 that "they are not done with the show after this season."

While Michele, Monteith and Colfer are not saying goodbye yet to their characters, Chord Overstreet will not be seen as Sam anymore on the hit musical show. Falchuk confirmed that the actor decided not to return at all in the third season.
