Bosses at fashion magazine Vanity Fair have apologized for a gay slur written by one of their columnists in an article about U.S. TV hit "Glee". Gay writer Brett Berk, who writes for the magazine's website, came under fire for using the homophobic term 'f**s' while writing about a recent episode of the musical show, which features several homosexual characters.

Following a series of complaints from readers, editors at the magazine have now said sorry for the comments and insist they do not support Berk's use of the derogatory term. The statement reads, "With so many genuine homophobes stirring up trouble these days, the gay community doesn't need any agita from an ally like Vanityfair.com, so we are eager to set the record straight about the use of the word 'f**s' in Brett Berk's latest 'Gay Guide to Glee' column."

Bob Geldof's wildchild daughter Peaches Geldof is facing a police investigation over allegations she stole a dress from a store in London. The TV personality is accused of walking into a vintage retailer in Camden and taking a $105 dress from the rails earlier in March.

According to Britain's The Sun, the shop attendant instantly recognized the 22-year-old star and chased after her, but didn't want to leave the store unattended. The alleged theft was reported to cops and London's Metropolitan Police have confirmed they are looking into the claims.

A man accused of breaking into Madonna's London home traveled from all the way from Poland to meet her and believes the superstar is his lover, a court has heard. Grzegorz Matlok was arrested on Saturday, March 12, and charged with burglary after he was allegedly discovered in Madonna's Marylebone townhouse.

A writer on animated comedy series "Family Guy" has been forced to apologize for insensitive remarks he made about Japan's earthquake disaster following a storm of criticism on the web. Scriptwriter Alec Sulkin took to his Twitter.com page following Friday, March 11's huge earthquake and tsunami, which devastated the country's eastern coastline and left over 2,000 dead, with the death toll tipped to reach 10,000 as the relief effort continues.

Sulkin wrote, "If you wanna feel better about this earthquake in Japan, google 'Pearl Harbor death toll.'" Sulkin was referring to the Japanese attack on U.S. forces in Hawaii during World War II, which killed over 2,500 people.

The daughter of Australian actor Robert Hughes has spoken out in defense of her father, insisting she is "appalled and outraged" by "untrue" allegations the TV star molested his niece. In 2010, former child star Sarah Monahan accused Hughes - who played her father in hit sitcom "Hey Dad!" - of acting inappropriately towards her during filming in the early 1990s, a claim he vehemently denied.

A woman charged with trespassing on Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's Los Angeles estate has been sentenced to three years probation. Karen Sjoden was arrested on the grounds of the stars' Beverly Hills compound in February and charged with a misdemeanor.

The suspect pleaded no contest to the count in a California court on Monday, March 14, and was granted credit for the 49 days already served in jail. She was ordered to serve three years on probation and told to stay away from the couple, its home and one of DeGeneres' employees.

Punk icon Casey Royer has been charged with child endangerment after allegedly overdosing on heroin in front of his son. The former Social Distortion drummer was admitted to hospital in Orange County, California last week after allegedly collapsing while watching TV with his 12-year-old boy.

Troubled actor Charlie Sheen has turned his recent woe into a comedy. The 45-year-old, who was recently fired from "Two and a Half Men", made a short film titled "Operation Greyhound" that pokes fun at his battle with Warner Bros., and Radar Online has got a hold on a preview of this improv sketch.

The clip presents Charlie in camouflage, a maroon beret and dog tags as he portrays "Warlock". Rumor has it, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are going to walk down the aisle for "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn" next month. The wands have become must-have merchandise items for fans, who buy them to wave during her hit song "Firework", and Perry is now urging devotees to buy them for the survivors of last week's disaster in Japan.

"If u go by the merchandise stand, purchase a KP light up wand ALL proceeds will go 2 to #JAPANREDCROSS, and when I play...FIREWORK let's ignite the light for them tonight," the singer wrote in a tweet to fans attending her show in Hamburg, Germany on Monday, March 14. "I will be doing this for future shows so be ready!!!"

Rocker-turned-photographer Bryan Adams has thanked fans for their well wishes after confirming reports he's set to become a first-time father. The "Summer of '69" hitmaker and his longtime girlfriend and personal assistant Alicia Grimaldi are expecting a child in May.

British newspaper The Sunday Telegraph broke the news on March 13 and now the singer has expressed his delight at starting a family. Tsunami survivor Petra Nemcova almost pulled out of an upcoming stint on American TV show "Dancing with the Stars" to help disaster victims in Japan. The supermodel was vacationing in Thailand when the 2004 tsunami struck, claiming the life of her boyfriend Simon Atlee and leaving her trapped in a tree with multiple injuries.

She has since founded the Happy Hearts charity organization, and dedicates much of her spare time to helping children and their families get back on their feet after natural disasters.

Disney has backed out of their plan to make "Yellow Submarine", but it has nothing to do with "Mars Needs Moms!" performance. The Hollywood Reporter (THR) runs a story that the studio kills the remake of the classic Beatles film to be produced and directed by Robert Zemeckis after his produced 3-D animation failed at box office on its debut weekend, but some insiders have denied it.

The insiders tell Deadline Hollywood that the decision was made months ago, before "Mars Needs Moms!" tanked. The site, however, does confirm THR's scoop that Zemeckis is now allowed to shop the project to another studio.

Actor Mel Gibson became a grandfather for the third time on Saturday, March 12, just one day after pleading no contest to misdemeanor battery charges. Gibson's daughter, Hannah, and her husband, blues singer Kenny Wayne Shepherd, welcomed a baby boy over the weekend, reports TMZ. The couple already has two children.

The good news follows Gibson's court appearance on Friday, March 11, when the actor-director was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to undergo a year of counseling after pleading no contest to a charge of simple misdemeanor battery.

There is a possibility that Ryan Phillippe might be a father for the third time. Summit Entertainment has given away a long preview to "Source Code" by sharing the first five minutes of the film via Yahoo! Movie. It follows Jake Gyllenhaal's Captain Colter Steven who wakes up in another man's body in a train. While he is still learning about the situation, the train is exploded.

Additionally, a new clip has also been debuted via Hulu. It sees a conversation between Colter and Vera Farmiga's Carol Goodwin in which Carol explains a train explosion which has just happened and that Colter is in it.

R&B singer Ne-Yo has hit back at allegations he "dissed" Beyonce Knowles over her recording of his track "Irreplaceable", insisting his recent comments were not intended to cause offense.

The "So Sick" hitmaker originally wrote the song for himself, but later handed the track to Beyonce and he admitted in a recent interview that he wishes he could have recorded it himself. He said, "One song that I gave away and didn't want to is Beyonce's 'Irreplaceable'. I honestly wrote that song for myself... However, a man singing it comes across a little bit misogynistic, a little bit mean."

John Stamos is adamant he won't be replacing Charlie Sheen in hit sitcom "Two and a Half Men", and he's urged the troubled actor to go back to the show. Sheen was fired from his role in the program on March 7 after months of bizarre antics and a public feud with his TV bosses. He is now suing them for terminating his contract.

Stamos was one of the actors tipped to take over in the show, and the suggestion sparked an outburst and a subsequent apology from Sheen, who backtracked after saying, "I like John but he don't have what I have and the show sucks if he's on it."

Jon Bon Jovi has taken aim at Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, accusing him of "killing" the music industry with iTunes. The rocker is saddened that children no longer enjoy the "magical" experience of buying records in a high street store because of the ease of downloading individual tracks onto an iPod. And he lays the blame for the generational shift in music-buying at the feet of technology mogul Jobs.

Vanessa Hudgens has found herself being entangled in another leaked picture scandal. A number of photos featuring the "Sucker Punch" beauty kissing another girl have recently hit the web. Director Julian Schnabel has been forced to defend his new movie "Miral" after bosses at the American Jewish Committee (AJC) accused him of portraying the state of Israel in a "highly negative light".

The film stars Freida Pinto as a conflicted Palestinian girl growing up in Israel in a story based on the life of Schnabel's Palestinian girlfriend, Rula Jebreal, and adapted from her 2004 novel of the same name.

Clint Eastwood's latest movie "Hereafter (2010)" has been removed from cinemas in Japan because of its "inappropriate" tsunami scenes. The "Dirty Harry" star directed Matt Damon in the recently-released drama, which tells the story of three people who are all affected by death in different ways.

One of the characters suffers a near-death experience in the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, and the scenes have prompted studio chiefs to pull the film from Japanese theaters in the aftermath of Friday's, March 11, devastating earthquake in the country.

James Blunt, who is a former British army officer, said he has been booked to perform at the upcoming royal wedding which will see the union of Prince William and his college sweetheart Kate Middleton. "I'm actually playing. I'm not singing, I'm playing the church organ there," he said.

Pop star Ke$ha shocked fans at a show in Australia at the weekend by drinking what appeared to be blood from an animal heart. The "TiK ToK" hitmaker took to the stage to headline the Future Music Festival at Sydney's Royal Randwick Racecourse, but gig-goers were in for a surprise when the concert got messy during a rendition of her track "Cannibal".

Ke$ha pulled out what looked like a real animal heart and drank a red substance, which dripped down her face and splattered across her t-shirt. Daily Telegraph reported the singer, who was covered in glitter and draped in a shredded American flag T-shirt, performed much of her 45-minute set dripping in blood.

50 Cent apparently isn't the only one feeling the heat for Twitter jokes about the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Comedian Gilbert Gottfried has faced an even more severe consequence as he has been fired by disability insurer Aflac Inc. as the voice of its iconic duck after making light of the disaster in a series of tweets.

"Gilbert's recent comments about the crisis in Japan were lacking in humor and certainly do not represent the thoughts and feelings of anyone at Aflac," Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Michael Zuna explained in a statement. "There is no place for anything but compassion and concern during these difficult times."

Slash has been forced to axe three gigs in Japan after the country was crippled by a devastating tsunami on Friday, March 11. The former Guns N' Roses guitarist was due to play shows in Tokyo and Yokohama this week but has announced the concerts have been postponed in the aftermath of the disaster.

"It's logistically not possible for us to do the Tokyo & Yokohama shows as scheduled," the rocker writes in a post on his Twitter page. "We will try to reschedule them asap."

Bosses at Overnight LLC, led by producer Rick Schwartz, are suing Kaufman, alleging his "gross lapses in judgment" cost the company millions of dollars.

Schwartz also claims he was denied a proper credit on "Black Swan" because of Kaufman, and a lawyer took the opportunity to serve the producer with a motion for default judgment during his public appearance at the festival in Austin, Texas.

Zac Efron has officially signed up for an untitled Matt Drake project. Back in February, he was reported circling the project but he has committed to it now that Fredrik Bond is on board to direct the movie.

Bond, a commercial and music video director, is hired to replace Dante Ariola who left the project though he was attached to the helming duty. The upcoming movie will be Bond's feature film debut. Drake, meawhile, writes the script for the action romance which was previously called "The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman".

Bosses at the BBC have issued an apology after Hugh Grant made a controversial comment about homosexuals playing rugby during a TV broadcast. The "Notting Hill" star was watching the England versus Scotland Six Nations game at Twickenham Stadium, London on Sunday, March 13, when he was invited into the commentary box at half time.

During an interview, Grant revealed he played rugby at school, before joking, "I discovered it hurt less if you tackled hard than if you tackled like a queen." The remark sparked outrage from some viewers, with one writing on Twitter, "Nice bit of old-school homophobia from him that, wasn't it?"

Emily Maynard, an event planner from West Virginia, captured the heart of Brad Womack and made him propose to her in several weeks. "The Bachelor", who did not find love the first time he was on the show, finally decided to pop the question to Emily and to deliver the bad news to Chantal O'Brien.

Brad said before standing on the altar, "I have never been more confident that I have made the right decision, found the right girl." He first called Chantal and told her, "It's simply a matter of me having stronger feelings for somebody else." Chantal cried and said, "You're an amazing person and Emily's very lucky. "The Hurt Locker" star Brian Geraghty has found love with actress Krysten Ritter. The stars sparked speculation of a romance after they were spotted enjoying a night out together in New York City on Friday, March 11.

A source tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "Geraghty had his arm around Ritter briefly as they chatted with their group of friends." Ritter's spokesperson has now confirmed the relationship, telling the publication, "They are dating."

Justin Bieber is jamming with Rascal Flatts in a newly-debuted music video for their joint track "That Should Be Me". The 17-year-old singer filmed the video with the country music band last month after he cut his signature hair flip to give him a more mature look.

The original version of "That Should Be Me" appears in Bieber's "My World 2.0" CD, and the revamped version is recorded for "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" soundtrack album. Of crossing genre from pop to country, he told ABC, "Music is music, and it's a universal language. It doesn't really matter what style, as long as it appeals to others and people like it, that's all that really matters."

Walt Disney Pictures has just debuted a new poster for "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" that gives another spotlight to Jack Sparrow. The eccentric pirate looks at the sky in the image, carrying some weapons and a shrunken, gray head with long hair dangles around his waist. The one-sheet, presented in dusty color scheme, also features a skull, some mermaids, and a burning ship on the background.

In the fourth "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, Jack Sparrow crosses paths with a woman from his past, Angelica, and he's not sure if it's love or if she's a ruthless con artist who's using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne's Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard, Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn't know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.

Usher and his ex-wife, Tameka Foster, have been hit with a sex tape scandal. TMZ reported that the hardcore footage is being shopped around, and they have got a hold of a short video and two photos. In light of the report, Tameka herself reached out to TheYBF.com and made it clear that making sex tape is not her style.

In her statement, the 40-year-old hair stylist first pointed out the obvious, "Yes, I have had sex with my [ex] husband. Multiple times." She went on to say, "Would I sanction a sextape being out? Absolutely not. I am a mother and entrepreneur. Sex tapes or pornography would not be my lane. I have no desire to be seen in that way."

As soon as "The Celebrity Apprentice" aired the episode where she's fired, Lisa Rinna is talking. Calling Ryan Seacrest's morning radio show, the actress dished out that she was embarrassed of the firing and that everybody in her team ganged up on her the minute they told her to be the project manager.

"I'm humiliated. I thought I was a really tough chick. I thought I could handle it," Rinna said, before admitting "I'm a wimp compared to these women." Regarding her feud with one particular contestant, Star Jones, Rinna commented, "As Donald said, 'Some people just don't like each other.' And that's OK."
